i'm looking for good mellow, jazzy house mixes / compilations for a friend of mine. (in the vein of st germain, as a mainstream example)

but i can't stand house. hence, i know no artists.
anyone have any suggestions? the less vocals the better :)

just pick up any one of the Naked Music compilations. There's about 4 of them out now -check yo' local HMV.

The OM compilations are also on the deep, jazzy tip.

Try these:

Albert.

Kevin Yost - Small Time Underground, etc
David Alvarado

Most deep jazzy comps have some sort of vocals in it, but Kevin Yost's comps I know are somewhat minimal...

I have been really digging Dimitri from Paris lately... he's amazing.

I love Naked Music too... I prefer their Nude Dimesions to their Carte Blanche though...

Dimitri's compilations are mostly vocals usually, which is not what feisty boy is looking for.

But I am picking up this and the new Lazy Dog (Ben Watt & Jay Hannan) compilation tonight
