How do you stop your hand from throbbing like hell after chopping up hot peppers? It feels like it's gonna fall off it's burning so hard, what can I do to make it stop?

Besides chop it off.

why not

soap.

if that doesn't work, milk.

(i don't know if either of these will really work, but i think the hot stuff is oil based)

i remember while eating vietnamese soup one day i decided to break up a bunch of those little chilis an pull out the seeds to put in the soup along with the pepper peices. The soup was damn good that day. On the way back to work I had this booger so picked my nose. All of a sudden out of nowhere i couldn't see out my eye because tears were streaming out of it. I also had trouble breathing cause that nostril was burning so much and was running like crazy. Since I was driving on the highway this was rather unnerving.
I'm okay though guys, thanks for caring.

Worst is fooling around after chopping hot peppers. At first the tingling feels kind of good in sensitive areas but the heat becomes uncomfortable pretty quickly.
Here Chris. :)

An unexpected jalapeno version of the 'Altoid blowjob' comes to mind...tingly, getting hotter, and hotter....

LOL

I started a thread in summer about this after I made 50L of salsa.

:) Best advice I had to look up is take an aspirin and wait it out, anywhere from 4 - 8 hours LOL Once it's in your skin, nothing brings it out, i tried bleach, rubbing alcohol, milk, yoghurt.. goodluck!

A word to the wise: wear surgeons gloves when processing hot peppers. I help myself whenever I'm in a doctor's office. They're handy for bike maintenance too. And theme dates. And crime.

If I chop up Habeneros I always wear gloves or plastic bags on my hand so I don't end up burning my eyes hands or whatever else I might touch.
