Hit me with some... art!

Friday was my first day of electronic graphics class (ie. photoshop). My teacher walked by my comp, "Oh you aren't doing the tutorial?" "Oh.. yeah.. I wasn't paying any attention." No wonder my teachers hate me.

Anyway this is what I doodled instead:

So hit me with your art! Errr.. your OWN art.. not someone elses!

I rarely touched photoshop. But photoshop 6 changed my mind! Its vector bassed (about fucking time!) and its a wicked program!

Actually... techincally, photoshop 6 is NOT vector based. It remains the number one pixel/raster based image manipulation software in the industry. Altho photoshop 6 does facilitate text amongst other functions that work best using vector technology, the software is still BASED in a pixel/raster environment.

Just a lil tidbit.

^^ I figured as much because there were somethings that just wernt as acurate as a real vector based program. Photoshop HAS to be pixal based pretty much intill they come up with something so crazy we all shit our pants.

Photoshop has been and ALWAYS will be raster based.

If you want excellent vector manipulation software, use illustrator. sounds like you're asking photoshop to do things for you that illustrator could do easily.

use illustrator.

when i do logo design, i do it all in illustrator.

(the right tool for the job yes?)

I run a dual P!!! 800 with 512 ram.

Need to upgrade still tho... or at least reformat everything so that it runs at peak performance again.

Ive been using illustrator for as long as I have had a computer actually. Its a wicked program- and Im loving the new photoshop because it works in alot of the same ways as photoshop.

Agreed...Doing graphics with heavy text content is SOOOOOOOO MUCH EASYER thanks to photoshop 6's vector text tool. And it's light on the system resources too (at higher resolution images)


Photoshop = The best program ever created. EVER.

Photoshop 6 is amazing! Its ALMOST vector based but not quite! I love everything about photoshop 6. "Save for Web" brings tears to my eyes.

the lighting, clubphoto, and the fact i do not have a panoramic setting on my digital camera soooo do not do this justice, but there it is.

2 more legs and one more shoe to finish and it'll finally be done.

i tired using flash to make it brighter and make the board comeout white and not piss yellow, but i have sanded the gesso on it down to such a high gloss surface that it is like a mirror, so the flash was reflected back.
