***I know this review's a little late but since nobody bothered to post anything about it, I thought I might as well.

A long awaited Canadian debut appearance of the duo formerly known as Konflict touched down at the Opera House last weekend (10/20/01). Weird to see quite a poor crowd turnout, especially for a first visit of this pair.

Sound system was quite horrible. It only seemed to sound decent if you're lounging upstairs by the bar. Thank God for 19+.

As for the sets, didn't catch that much of the locals. Got to the venue quite late as Rubix & Fungi were finishing up their scratch-tastic, amen & bootleg filled set. Kemal & Rob Data's set was just as expected: a nice dark techy set full dubs. Their mixing was alright for the most part, a couple of shady moments here and there but no biggie really.

Tunes identifiable in their set: Body Rock (can't believe even they would play this..weird), Possession remix, Bacteria, Nepheilm remix, Thunderball, Imagination remix, Mutationx remix, Altitude, Plan B, and what seemed like a remix of Gene Sequence.

Over all it was a nice night full of techy rollers. Hoping for a better turnout of heads next time Kemal & Rob Data make their return.

I think the door price was what hurt attendance.. Just a little too steep for most people's wallets IMO...
Would've been a nice show to catch for sure tho..

Bang on in my opinion...pretty steep for only one headliner....yes, I understand that it was a smaller venue, but still....

NO offense to the promoters, but the whole benefit thing was pretty poorly organized too, imo. Should have been open to anyone...I and many others were planning on going until we heard that news. I think there was also a lot of confusion about what was going on b/n the two events...I was confused..but maybe I'm just slow.
