Help - Wireless Internet

TRIBE Member
I have a wireless internet connection that I'd like to remain active, even when I'm away from my laptop for a long stretch of time.

After an indetermined amount of time, my internet connection goes and interrupts any downloads that I have going. When I come back, my laptop does indicate that my Wireless NIC is now active, and only takes seconds b4 I'm back online. I think the laptop does some form of deactivation of the wireless network adaptor for purpose of saving power, despite the laptop being plugged in during that time.

Any suggestions in keeping the internet connection alive, 24/7?

rightclick on your wireless adaptor in device manager, go to properties, and to the power management tab. there you will probably see a checkmark beside 'allow this device to be turned off' or something along those lines.. uncheck it.

that is ONE possibility
