HELP! mp3 problem

i downloaded the konflict set for high society prod. and burned it on CD along with many others in DATA format.Took the Cd home form where I burned it and found out the media players I have don't support it!

windows,winamp,realplayer...all dont play it and the HELP option is no help at all! The funnt thing is that the file has MP# at the end of it!

what's the problem?

the same thing also happens with a teebee set and a dennis miller set...why won't it read as a playable format!?

the filename was too long for the format you burned it in (joliet mode 1 has a limit of like 8 characters for file names) and as such the full filename got truncated

Copy over the files to your computer, right click on them to change the properties (uncheck read only), then rename them from .mp to mp3 and you'll be able to play them

that's because files written to CD are read only...you have to copy them to your hard drive as I said, then right click on the files, go to properties, and uncheck "read only" if you want to change the file names.

If you're trying to change attributes with the files still on CD you won't be able to, CD's are not writable after they have been burned.
