all people do is complain about the fucking weather.

- its too cold out i wish it was hotter
- its too wet and rainy out i wish it was not raining.
- its too hot out wish it was slightly cooler.
- now its too cold again, why cant it just be perfect.....???

seriously, wtf, we live in Canada in southern ontario. we have SEASONS.

it goes from fucking cold to fucking hot and everything in between.

suck it up and enjoy the heat since most of you will be complaining as soon as its gone.

appreciate our summers that are seemingly half as long as our winters.

gah.

thank you.. the chronic complaining about the weather drives me mental.

does this happen to anyone else here? I was out all weekend at Center Island for the Toronto International Dragon Boat Festival. As i was walking around in really hot weather yesterday, my left foot ballooned up. It happens to my mum.. with heat comes her feet swelling. It doesn't hurt.. it just got really tingly and felt funny. Someone told me that I need to drink more electrolytes. Has that happened to anyone else here before?

As someone who is not heat tolerant at all and is allergic to the sun, I haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaate this weather. Gimme 3 feet of snow on the ground with a minus 20 windchill and I'm a happy camper. Gimme 2 weeks of rain non-stop and I won't complain and I don't mind sunny weather with a maximum of 22C and zero humidity (especially if there's a patio involved :)).

For 3 out of 4 seasons I don't bitch about the weather, but when it's like this I reserve the right to whine, moan, bitch, complain and be miserable as much as I want to and I will do so at my leisure. :D

I like it hot! I just hate being stuckin an office all day. I hate the xtreme ac of the Office to no AC of my house. I think I'm getting a cold from this already :(

When I was on leave and not working I had no AC, but I was at home all day and used to it, and would go out every afternoon to highpark and it rarely bothered me, just a few muggy hours before bed at times.

The trick to sleeping in a heatwave is take a shower right before you get into bed, then sleep naked with a fan blowing and only a sheet on.

last night after my ride home i was a little sweaty, did some work and cleaning around the house, with just a fan blowing in the living room, and once i was done, sat on my couch with a beer, i was fine, chilled and enjoyed the evening.

when i went to bed last night, window open, fan on me and sleep naked with a light sheet, or in a pair of light briefs or something. installation of ceiling fan happens tonight as i was too lazy and baked and watching True Blood, Falling Skies and Continuum :)

I'm melting and this weather is making me extremely irritable. Really don't think I could live in in a hot weather climate like the Caribbean if I wasn't given the choice.

I'm exactly the same way. I don't mind some heat (no humidity), but when it's like this i feel like i'm wilting. I find it hard to breathe, it sucks out my energy etc.

Give me cool, cold, snowy, rainy weather and i'm happy. I know most people don't feel that way. The only weather i complain about is the humidity.

Hm...90% humidity in my office. Reminds me of my days spent in the humid-but-cool basement as a kid. Kinda fun memories!

I feel for the facilities guy, he had the office birds chirping him about how humid it is, so now I have no dehumidifier in here to make it decent.

Nice guys finish last, as always.

I am hearing my crazy woman neighbor yelling at her husband. She sounds like a bag of cats. The heat sure makes people even nuttier.

Bag of cats eh? We know what happens to bag of cats. Be sure to note when the yelling stops.

Well I don't have anyone to yell at (a plus) and I only turn on the AC when my AV equipment hits up my place too much. But then, I don't turn on the heat in the winter unless I see my breath, so maybe older age is just making me more tolerable to life.

People in every country complain about the weather, hot or cold. It's the only thing you can complain about without offending anyone. Except cranky Tribers. I've felt like a massive pussy the past few days because not that long ago i lived somewhere where the weather was like this 6 months of the year, and now just a half week is driving me nuts. Though a lot of that has to do with being jammed in with a million people on the TTC during rush hour. On the weekends you just chuck on shorts and have a beer and oh well, but when you're all made up and supposed to be looking professional this heat is the fucking worst. Companies should implement Topless Fridays or something.

Final rant in this thread, I hope! ;)

I lied!!!

This fucking hot, humid and hazy weather is making angry like the Incredible Hulk.

My prediction we will be followed by exactly 3 more "heat waves" from now until Labour Day.

Picking up a little pool for the little guy so we can play in the water. He was digging the Island and his time at the beach.

My flatmate and i caved, the compounded heat and lack of air being able to escape finally was too much.

got a little 5000 BTU unit, stuck it in his bedroom and it keeps it cool enough in there only operating at maybe 30% coolness with the high cold fan setting.

impressive for a tiny unit that cost 125$ after tax.

im glad he closes his door at night, im so used to sleeping without AC actively present so my room is warmer but the ceiling fan is nice and i dont wake up with chills or feel sick.

NO A/C at home for me; I'd love to get a ceiling fan but electrical installation in my upstairs is quasi-impossible (read very very $$).

So I do the portable fan, and have actually closed the windows tight when I leave in the morning to keep some of the "cool" in.

It's only a few days in the year, so it's alright (though I'm so looking forward to heading up north at the end of next week!).
