Hatiras in Waterloo at the Purple Room

Well that was definitely worth the trip to Waterloo and then back home here.
Isaac S warmed me up very nicely and then Hatiras blew everyone's mind.
All the people around me looked like they were in awe at the tracks he was throwing down.
He has gotten a lot harder from the last time I heard him spin.
Sure got me dancing hard the first 2 hours of the set.
It was wicked running into Kix and LabRat there.
Tina and I were just grinning ear to ear dancing (except for when we had to stop or fall over from hyper-ventilating from going so hard)
So much for pacing ourselves.
Jay---I had the best time dancing with you all night.
Hatiras-----Can't wait until the new cd gets on the shelves and to see you again REAL soon.


PS. don't stop for MacDonalds coffee on the highway when you are driving home!!!

So fun! We didn't really want to end up at Rev again for another night, but when it came down to it, there was nothing else to do and coudln't exactly skip out on Hatiras, SOoOOOoo...

The music was SWEET! I never get to hear decent house headliners anymore! Nice and hard and got my ass shaking straight for a couple hours. The new single they announced was going to be on his new cd sounds an AWFUL lot like Spaced Invaders tho.... haha

Svet and Jay, it was such a nice surprise seeing you out.... shoulda paced myself forsure tho, I was so tired!! had to duck out kinda early. It was awesome partying with you two again!

And Jay, thank you for talking me out of punching that larry bird girl in the face, you have NO idea how close i came do doing it. I don't think i've ever come so close to losing it on someone before.

SHIT! I forgot my chocolate easter present they were handing out! SON OF A! What were those anyways???

Anyways, another great night out forsure.

Hatiras & the girl everyone wanted to hit

Last night was one of my best nights in the Purple Room!

Hatiras really got the place moving and definatly got me pumped for getting his new CD when it comes out. I was hoping he was going to throw some of them out into the crowd...too bad he didn't. However, i did get the chocolate easter egg deal treat...it was delicious.

My usual complaint with the purple room is that it turns into a furnace as the night goes, thankfully that wasn't that case last night. I didn't even sweat through my shirt...wow!

Tina, i'm not sure which girl you were talking about wanting to hit. I'm assuming its the same one that most people dancing near the front wanted to hit. The girl definatly desearved to be clocked in the face. She bumped into me countless times, making me spill my drink all over my clothes. She did the same to many of my friends who were there. Worst of all, in some drunken attempt at a dance move she roundhouse elbowed my buddy in the side of the head. Not only did she not appoligize, but she called him gay for some reason. Class act all the way!

She kept literally falling into us and turning around yelling for us to stop pushing her.
Everytime I saw her she was pissing someone else off.
People like that should be escorted out of the club.

It was great hearing Hatrias spin out again, and I really didn't mind having to go to Waterloo to hear it. Can't wait to hear him throw down again real soon in a few months. He started off a little harder than I expected, but grooved it full-on funk styles by the time the middle of his set rolled around. It was great hearing Hatiras dig deep into that record bag and pull out some great older tracks. Pure L.A. styles. It was pretty obvious that I was diggin' the set cuz I was pretty much soaked by the time the night was over.

Svet, it's always great partying with you. I'll try not to make funny comments as you're drinking water next time. That was pretty close to spray action. hehe .

Tina, as much as you and Svet wanted to knock that chick out, it definitely wasn't worth it. Besides, we wouldn't have even had time to place bets before the fight was over. You'd have snapped her in half in about 2 seconds.

Great meeting labrat finally, and quite shocking that I actually getting my bro out to party a bit. Good to see the T.O. crew representing.

Oh, one more thing ... a big thumbs down to that asshole security guard that wouldn't let me into the washroom to refill my water bottle. He actually said (unbelievably) that "It's illegal to go into the washroom with any open container. How do I know that you're not refilling your bottle with vokda in the washroom?" I proceeded to tell him that it's illegal to not allow running water, and if he wanted to search my bag (why they didn't do it at the door is beyond me), he could go ahead. He declined, and also refused to get his manager for me. Fuckwad.

All in all, a great night.

LOL that was the funniest part of it. We're all happily dancing away, she comes up from BEHIND me nearly knocking me over, then blames -me- for purposely dancing into her. "I know you fucking moved backwards to push into me bitch! Don't fuck with me!"

Haha yah jay, she was like "you wanna fucking go? I'm fucking twice your age bitch i'll fuck you up" .... i just laughed and told her she did NOT want to start shit with me. The situation was hilarious since she could have been snapped in half in a sec and she was the one trying to initiate a fight. I might not have thought twice about starting shit if it wasn't such a ridiculous situation.

Good Waterloo experience.

Nice to see my boy Lane and hang with the Waterloo crew.
I was also impressed with the vibe there - everyone smilin and dancin. More than I can say for Kerri Chandler at Roxy....
Maybe it was the free before 12 thing that makes everyone so happy up in the 519. Or that Red Bull, thx again Lane.

And to the blonde - I did not enjoy the elbow to the face, followed by not an apology but a "what are you gay?" response.
All was good though because I secretly stabbed her pants with my ciggarette. You cant smoke at Rev anyways.

i had a great time last night ... started out with beers at mcgulligans or mcgriffens or mcgahootchiemamans and then myself and tina and steve split off to go to the purple room. it was nicely full and not a sauna as per usual, for some reason i notice that the fan on top of the bar is never turned on. kinda annoying when it reaches 100 degrees and 95% humidity. i'd wander into the main room when it got too hot, but they are spinning such crap in there now ... Energy FM DJs suck major league arse, bring back sherri dee-lite.

anywho, back to the purple room and Hatiras. I was quite impresssed with his selection - a good mix of funky and hard house beats. I could tell that most everyone were enjoying themselves, including myself.

It was good to meet PinkAngel and Futronic last night ... they obviously were enjoying themselves up front, as every time i looked over they were bopping to the tunes.

KiX: no problem with the rides - anytime you want to head out there and don't have a way, let me know. i'll probably be up for it.

Hatiras was pretty dope, although towards the end of his set it got waaaayyy too cheesy for me...def a fun dj to dance too though.

As far as the sheri deelite thing, that is unbelievable that they were blaming her for the lack of crowds in there...as if energy 108 dj's are suddenly going to have the ppl banging down the doors...all that does is turn the place into a joke.

lack of crowds? she kept the place full every saturday that i've gone ... and they stick around until closing. the last few times i've gone where the Energy FM djs spun the crowds have diminished significantly. They are bloody awful, if i wanted to hear that crap i'd go to johnny fiasco's or Elements.

sure the main room is for more mainstream stuff and i don't mind staying in there since it's cooler and less packed ... but once they start playing crap i'd rather not spend my time in there.

would it be even usefull to complain to the rev via email?

i've had the missfourtune of being to rev more than a few times and i remember hearing sheri deelite play. If the enegry 108 djs are worse than her, they must be damn awful. not that i'd expect energy 108 djs to be good at all...its just that sheri was pretty bad. i guess they both play cheese freestyle all night long that makes me wanna die...'castles in the sky' oh god, pure pain! hehe
