Hasek Injured

Hasek, one of the NHL's top goaltenders for years, grimaced in pain as he spread his legs to stop a shot during a German power play about six minutes into the game. He didn't face another shot for the next few minutes, but left the ice when play stopped 9:25 into the period.

---------------------------------------------

read it and weep, sens fans. These 20 or so words might have just fucked up not only your season, but your chance at the cup. If Hasek is out for a lengthy period of time, then you guys are going downhill. (not to say that you've been playing all that well anyways)

The Leafs? Yeah, so what, they're injured too, and I didn't expect them to be a top-8 team ANYWAYS, so you don't have any arguments against 'us'.

But here's hoping he not only pulled his groin, but he tore it, twisted it, sprained it, hurt it, aggravated it, destroyed it, burned it, sliced it, slammed it, and everything else you can do to it.

SUCKERS!

i don't think loosing hasek will have that major of an effect on the sens. their scoring power is enough to keep them alive. it will affect their GAA, but that's about it.

hahaha, oh this puts a smile on my face. :)

As for the Republic, they have Vokoun as backup so it's not that big of a loss for them.

In other news Todd Bertuzzi is being sued by Steve Moore in a civil suit; this time it's for over $12,000,000!!

Yep! Ron Maclean just announced this about 20 minutes ago on CBC. It's a civil suit and Bertuzzi probably doesn't even know about it yet. Moore and his lawyers apparently filed the suit against him and the NHL yesterday.

Won't affect the Czech team. Tomas Vokoun is just as good (if not better) than Hasek.

The Sens won't win anything with Ray Emery in net.

I feel bad for Steve Moore, but at the same time he's a selfish prick for filing this suit yesterday.

fuck the czechs. i'm talking the sens. and whoever says they'll win with emery in net is gross. scoring might win games, but not playoffs. even though GF have been high this year, in the playoffs they'll tighten up.

god damn do I hope the leafs play ottawa sans hasek. (that's the only way they'd have a chance).

I see ottawa going for broke and getting a good goalie, if hasek is out.

(where are all the sens fans aka losers? joey? kickit? where the fuck are you now?)

outcaseTO - although I don't know about the lawsuit, and deets, there might be a legal reason why he did it coinciding w/ the olympics.

OR

it might be done to take the spotlight away from bertuzzi.

I think moore has more than a leg to stand on, but I thought so too in the first case. I don't know why he was sued in COL though, big mistake.

Hasek is one of Vokoun's biggest fan. Luckily, I chose Brodeur for my Olympic Pool. Vokoun would've been my backup. For some reason I thought Hasek was Russian.

Hasek is fine. He just wanted to be on the team, but didn't want to play. He's just taking in the sites and resting up for the playoffs.

Depending on how bad Hasek is hurt, the Senators have more than enough to make a trade for Luongo.

i just can't see this happening especially with the hefty contract he'll be looking for.....

annnnd I as said before I hope he tore everything in that leg FU nottawa!

Brodeur took a contract that was arguably less than he could have signed elsewhere. I have no reason to believe that Luongo wouldn't take a similar contract.

Dump Smolinksi and Hasek's salaries and you pretty much have room for Luongo.

Do you mean you don't know why he's suing Bertuzzi in Colorado? Well, he isn't; he's suing him right here in Ontario!

Moore already tried to sue him in Colorado, it got tossed out. That's what kuba was getting at. Incident happened in Vancouver, so he files a lawsuit in Colorado? WTF?

At least he is from Ontario.

From tsn.ca

"However, Senators' fans can breathe a sigh of relief as the injury should not affect the remainder of the NHL season. Stay tuned for further updates."

Out for the Olympics though.
