Harvest Festival

what a weekend...first dimitri & then the harvest festival...haven't been to an outdoor event in a few years, but this was definitely worth the trip...had some fun getting parked through the mud & fields, but we arrived after the rain & in time for some great tunes...

checked out the different areas, including the wicked chill out tent/pyramid, & couldn't ask for a better atmosphere @ the fire w/ the tunes in the background, the digeridoo, & of course a clear night w/ lottsa stars...so the setting was spot on...

the barn itself i believe was made for dancing...the multi levels, auditorium hay seating & even a little elevated stage in the back corner high above the action made this a wicked venue...the sound was excellent & the crowd was really into the party...adam & lotus played wicked sets, nice washes, hard & funky beats...live pa was nice (unfortunately i had to get some country air) & made it back inside for dub-naustic...this event is what parties are all about, an overall good feeling...

so i'm sure others can elaborate a little, but a great way to spend a saturday thanksgiving evening...

funny how often we complain about "how it used to be", but this party was "how it should be"...cheers to the organisers & now i can't wait for next year...

This party had the best set up I have ever seen. The barn was perfect. Lots of places to sit and watch and lots of room to dance (and there was stuff to climb which made it even better!)
The DJ's deffinatly put on a wikked show. Algorithm was the high light of the nite for me and he almost went crazy when the record he wanted to play- couldnt be beatmatched because the pitch was already at max.
The organization was pretty decent. The big maze was alot of fun and had lots of surprises in it, like people mostly.. They were playing some fractal tones in it (coil - timemachines) and it made a neat sureal experince.
The giant perymids were alot of fun. They were nice a warm to which made it perfect after around 5 when the barn started to get a bit empty and there wasnt enough body heat to go around.
Out side was so great. The lighting was excelent. Lights being cast upon old rusted farm equipment and small falling down storage sheds. Some of the lights were in bad spots so that when you were walking you couldnt see what was infront of you!
This party was deffinatly next level.. everything about it was perfect. It gets my vote for best party of my partying career!

My rating (out of 20 because 20 is better than 10) 19/20

I spent my whole time mostly on the big hay bale amputheater thing at the front with Oliver dancing. Which was something else.. everyone seemed to have there own groove at this party and it seemed there was this circualation of engery going around.

Well, I was a little under the weather when I got there, and thanks to the weather I was very sick when I left. The vibe was amazing, the setup, well... Justin always outdoes himself every time. The guy has a way of creating atmosphere through lighting and decorations that always boggles the mind. I also got to see many good friends that I haven't seen in a while, and managed to get a bit of dancing in. Unfortunately my cold worsened as it approached 3am and my friend was leaving, so I hitched a ride back to t.o.

This is the second Harvest Festival I've attended, and by far the best so far. If the weather and my health hadn't been so negative I would have had an amazing time.

The party gets a 10/10

Mother nature and my cold gets -2000/10

a definate 10/10

that was one of my favourite parties of the year!

personal highlights - adam marshall and lotus throwing down bomb sets, driving the barn dancefloor into a frenzy....and the "Louvre-esque" pyraminds ...

props to all those that made this party happen!
