did anyone else go to this? i took my little brother cause he really likes hip hop. just in case you don't know, the hype stood for Helping Young People Excel, and it was an exhibition on the art of hip hop at the AGO. i was really impressed. the organizers did a great job, and definitely suceeded in their goal of trying to teach the youth in toronto the appreciation for art. they had a room where people were free-styling, a room for breakdancing, and dj's in the room where the graffiti and art were displayed. they also had other rooms for panel discussions, etc., but i didn't go to any of these. the place was packed. anyhow, if any of the organizers read this, good job, looking forward to next year.
the only fucked up thing was the fact that they did searches. can you believe that!! how many exhibits does the AGO hold, and how many do they do searches for??? it's unfortunate.
