This whole healing thing is taking way too long. Almost been a week now and I can still barely flex my arm without it hurting.

The shoulder still hurts like a mofo during certain movements.

I guess I got legs, cardio and core for the next week or two.

hmm, just read up on weight lifting chains. Think they'd be fun to use, but dude, dragging 90lbs of chains to the gym for chest day seems a little excessive.

I don't think I bench enough to use them to their full intentions.

Took a week off from the gym already and ooooooooo, things are a healin'! I can now naturally flex my right bicep with only a little bit of discomfort now. Last week I could barely flex it. Another week or two and I should be gravy.

Now for that fucking shoulder.

I just realized that you are supposed to go all the way back down when doing pull-ups and not just halfway. Fuck I can barely do 10 reps now.

Now that I have moved my bicep curls to last in my Pull day rotation I can't even do 3 full sets with 30.

On the upside, I have lost 7 pounds since I started in December but have increased what I can lift by about 30-40%.

It kills me when I see people half-assing their reps.

Saw this one monkey grab the 80lbs dumbbells for military press, but the weights only moved a couple inches!!! His shoulders were swimming all over the place, ass was off the seat and he even dropped the dumbbells on the ground like he was king shit after too.

Some people argue that the half rep has merit, but my argument is that if a half rep is a half rep, why doesn't monkey ass do the lower half of the range of motion vs the top? Reason: they can't.

edit: sorry, this is a pet peeve of mine.

What about doing no reps? there's a bizarre guy at my gym that loads the bar up with four plates, gets under the bar, grunts, then gets up like he's just been benching 4 plates. at no point does he even take the bar off the rack.

Yeah, full range of motion is generally the way to do things. :p

Man have I been wasting my time, I have never seen anyone else doing full neutral grip pull ups, it was only when I actually looked up videos online to try and figure out why it was so easy did I see a full one. At least its actually workign my back now and not just my arms.

Last time I did the full ones the kid after me tried and couldn't do more than a few, so he went back to half reps, lol.

I'd force myself on him as a spot. I'd do the lift-off for him and ensure that he does full range of motion.

When working on biceps and doing curls of any sort, it annoys me to no end when you see people's elbow angle remain completely static throughout the entire movement yet the weight still moves.

No wonder their shoulders are huge.

KILLS ME!!!

What about at the top of the range? I have seen a few places that say to lift until your forearm is prependicular to the floor, which means you have to move your elbow out from your side a bit at the end.

Full ROM is hard man. I've only ever seen 1 other person at my gym do it... although, i don't see many people doing them period. Those who do, usually kip.

What frustrates me is that my Pulldown strength has greatly increased in the pat 8 months, yet my pullups have barely changed. I can still only do 8 wide grip followed by 6, followed by 6-4.
