depends on the School.

if you were at York, a 3.0 would mean you just wasted a couple thousand dollars.

I've never understood this whole GPA business. My program at university used percentages as grades (i.e., 75, 57, 83, etc) and not letters.

how can a GPA accurately reflect what you are accomplishing, if it is based on a letter grade, which represents a range of grades (i.e. a "B" being a 70 -74 or whatever) ?

peace,

sabina

At Ryerson, a 3.0 is a B. That's a 73-76% range. Here's their table:

Letter Grade/GPA/Equiv. % Range

A+ 4.33 90-100
A 4.00 85-89
A- 3.67 80-84
B+ 3.33 77-79
B 3.00 73-76
B- 2.67 70-72
C+ 2.33 67-69
C 2.00 63-66
C- 1.67 60-62
D+ 1.33 57-59
D 1.00 53-56
D- 0.67 50-52
F 0 0-49
