Having been a long-suffering fan of les expos since 1993 during the strike year, I must say this team is pure *magic*.

Coming off a four game sweep of the phillies they are now TIED in the four-team wildcard race:

    Florida 70 63 .526 - 40-25 30-38 616 583 Lost 3 2-8
    Houston* 70 63 .526 - 41-27 29-36 647 556 Lost 1 5-5
    Philadelphia 70 63 .526 - 39-26 31-37 629 562 Lost 6 1-9
    St. Louis* 70 63 .526 - 40-28 30-35 721 663 Won 2 6-4
    Montreal 71 64 .526 - 46-23 25-41 611 594 Won 5 6-4
    Arizona 69 64 .519 1 39-28 30-36 587 543 Lost 2 4-6
    Los Angeles 68 64 .515 1.5 37-29 31-35 459 442 Won 1 5-5
    Chicago Cubs 68 64 .515 1.5 32-32 36-32 577 571 Lost 2 4-6

They only have six games remaining, but fuck me if Vlad Guerrrrerrrrrrrrrrrrro isn't playing like a man POSESSED! (sp?)

their away record stinks, but keep in mind they had a 25 game road trip at one point

they played a whole bunch in Puerto Rico.

And Vladi was injured for a bit.

And now its all coming together.

Imagine: How wicked would it be for the expos to make the wild card while teams like the Rangers with ONE GUY who gets $25M dont? Wouldnt the owners be fuming and scratching their heads? Someone like Eugene Melnyk should come in and buy this team: its clearly built the RIGHT WAY

so for now, im going to keep this thread alive.

    GO EXPOS!!

    (fuck im up early today)

They only have six home games in Montreal remaining. They also have six games at home in Puerto Rico and fifteen more on the road. The season is 162 games long.

They are getting pretty large crowds out right now as well.

I've been an expos fan since the Tim Wallach, Andres Gallaraga, Tim Raines days.

    1994 hurt really bad :(

    GO EXPOS!

They had 30,501 monday night. It was odd seeing the big O with that many people in it again.

I so hope they make the wildcard. I think that could possibly save the francise. I know a lot of teams bitch about how they need a new ballpark blah blah blah ... but in this case they really do! Hopefully someone like a Melnyk as Jake mentioned will step in and see that there is a possible bright future in Montreal.
