Hi there,
Although i've been into breaks for awhile now... i think its about time that i get 'serious' about it. Like start shopping for records serious.
That means i need the names of top producers, and labels... especially labels. I'm already familiar with most of the more prominent 'nu skool' breaks producers... dj Icey, Adam Freeland, BLIM, Hyper, Plumpsters etc. etc. More names to that list would be appreciated.
But what i really need some help with is the names of 'old school' producers... i have no idea who produced all those funky remixes of old hip hop tunes... the only name that comes to mind is the Freestylers.
Online record stores, links to dope mixes/websites and a general history of how breaks evolved are also needed.
-thanks to all who post here-
