I found some weed ghee in a film container, unrefrigerated, and about 4 years old. It smells rancid, but looks ok. No mold.

Seeing that ghee has little/no water, do you think it'll be ok to eat after sitting around for so long?

I'm pretty sure I'll be eating it unless someone convinces me not to :p

As G ages it begins to go better with steaks, lamb, tech-house, and game birds.

google is telling me 1 to 2 years so far

and i think it goes "bad" in that it oxidizes and becomes rancid. i think it'll be rather stable from a microbial perspective.

That's assuming there was no moisture added to it (in any form).

You've already said it smells rancid, exactly how desperate are you to get high?

Sounds like you've made that choice already! LOL : )

It's done. Don't risk it and get it out of there. The stomach pains associated with bad ghee is some next level shit (literally)

Don't forget it was in a film container. I hope it was washed super well...

    Don't do it. Ghee-z you'll have a bad tummy-ache!

Ironically, the original meaning of the term rancid applies here.

"The times, they are a' changin'..."

.... googled around to find out what ghee is, are you referng to 'weed clarified butter' pretty much?

or weed butter, that has been sitting in a film tin for like, 4 years?

personnaly, I wouldnt risk it. Then again, pretty much anything I eat these days seems to be making me throw up, so I'm not risking a whole lot anymore.

    same here :)

but if its weed butter I wouldnt risk it either... digestion becomes enough of an issue when eating, rancid aint gonna help

No irony here. The rancid you wiki'd is the same rancid I was referring to.

    Indeed.

    In that case, eat it!

It's no worse than that time i drank beer that had ashes in it.

ie. the whole beer, cause it was the only one left.

    in the morning.

    two days later.
