I hadn't seen Kamikaze, Electrician or Xotec live before, but I am definitely IMPRESSED

Josh defintiely tore it up last night, and not a muscle in my body is not aching from dancing so much.

The venue was nice and intimate not too big and the sound setup wasn't bad

Thank you you Decepticon, Urban Funk industries and Phlux Productons for bringing amazing to music to the funky people!

When Josh goes on stage im rite there to watch work on the dex.... i loved it when he played that Scanty track.. ummmm... actually i loved everytrack he played... i missed Kamikazie and The Electrician.. sorry dude .. didn't know the time slots... XoTec was awesome.. first time hearin him and i wanted to steal his sampler just becuz ..well i wanted it.. he did a good job workin on it....
Decepticon... well what to say .. good job you always do a good job great nite.. and now im goin to bed....

Well I headed to NV first for some pre-drinks, and in hopes that my ride to this party wouldn't cancel out! And yeah- it all worked out!

First off, Thanku sooooo much Matt, I owe u one!

Wikkid party, and such a wikkid night all together. Nice change of venue for once. I got there around 2am on the dot, just in time to stock up at the bar. Josh was kicking ass! I could not help but dance. Somebody needs to bring this gorgeous funky man to t.o more often! Wikkid set matt, u had me dancing tons!

Great job to everyone who was a part of this night. Resect goes out. Thanx for the crust WES!! U drunken madman!!

so we randomly made the descison last nite to hit up this party....wise wise descision

after some wonderful christmas adventures earlier in the evening plus lots of red wine we headed off to the big bop - caught last track of electricians set - just a taste of breaks, wish we coulda got there earlier!

xotec's set was a bit too hard for my taste, so we retired to the chillout room for some INTENSE people watching. so so fun!! just chilling, laughing, hanging out, drinking.
once Josh came on, we hit the dance floor and didn't stop moving till we left. HOLY FUCK THAT WAS FUN!!!! fun fun fucking funky house! much respect to andrea and lianne for the constant amusement on the dancefloor!!

all in all, the nite was a blast!! props to the promotors for throwing a event that was fun and full of energy!

thanks to basic for our late nite mcdonalds picnic and for being my wonderful partner in crime, as always!

hey all...

first off I want to thank Phlux and UFI for bringing me up...I also want to share a heartfelt thank you to all the people I met and that complimented me on my performance...it really meant a lot to me...personally I felt my performance wasn't one of my best, but was certainly passable considering the circumstances (I'll explain in a minute)...

I wasn't intending on playing as hard as I did toward the second half of my set and I do apologize for aurally pounding the sh*t out of you (I usually play a bit more funky when I'm fully rested and comfortable)...but I thought I'd share a pic or two with you all to explain what I had to deal with (or better yet dig out of) in order to make it to TO...

cliff notes version...up until 8PM Friday, I was unsure whether or not I was going to even be able to get out of Buffalo (or Cheektowaga, an adjacent suburb where I live)...as you have seen in the news...the metro Buffalo area got hit with almost SEVEN FEET of lake effect snow

...driving bans were in place since Thursday morning...while it finally stopped snowing in Cheektowaga Friday around noon, the driving ban was still in place...my wife and I were plotting my escape from Cheektowaga all afternoon (if I was caught on the roads, I would have been fined and sent back home)...if I was to make it to TO in time to perform I had to leave Buffy-hole by 8PM...8PM comes and Amherst (another suburb of Buffalo two blocks north of me) lifts their travel ban...just enough time to grab some tunes and my sampler and make a "run for the border"! Once I drove five miles north it was all clear sailing (the difference in snow amounts between Cheektowaga/ Buffalo and the northern suburbs is extraordinary!)...

Hopefully next time I perform in TO I won't be as frazzled, and I'll be better able to play less hard and more funky (depending on who brings me up...I play quite a diverse array of styles ranging from 125-145BPM)...thank you all again...hope you all have a safe and happy new year!

if you're referring to the black dude with the massive afro, yes. he's my friend's bf. they live in peterborough and were in town and i asked them to come down and check out the show. the fro is only a year old. damn he's one bushy mofo. you should have seen how many compliments he got when we were at guv the next night.
