Okay this happened both when i tried to burn a cd copy using nero (it's all i have) aswell as when i tried to install microsoft office.

system\currentcontrolset\control\virtualdevicedrivers. vdd. virtual device driver format in the registry is invalid. choose 'close' to terminate this application.

two options available: close / ignore.

anyone know what the fuck it means?

for nero, i hit ignore and it still worked fine... but office cant install.
p.s. does ANYONE have office? (specifically word) i really REALLY dont want to have to install the french version.. .but that's all i have.

you have problems with the litebrite? if so, i don't think you should be using a computOR.

it's probably a driver issue with your CD burner/player. try to see if there is an update on the manufacturers website.

Actually, it's the full legit version, I live at yonge and bloor, you can borrow it... if you want to come get it. Actually... I've got a few versions... I think I might have the ISO of Office XP.

Ha, Actually, I"ve got Roxio EZCD 5 on the FTP site right now. You can either download it, or I can burn you a copy.

It means that the virtual device driver format in the registry is invalid...

Reinstall Windows. I get them sometimes. I don't know why, viruses maybe. I just reinstall windows, without formating or anything, just over everything else, my registry will stay intact only parts that windows uses are going to be overwritten.
