considering he has quite a few awesome "tech - house" releases on his own label SouthSoul , i imagine this should be dope, and hey if he happens to actually mix it up, something on the deep, or hard tip EVEN better

This is gonna be another crazy week in March....this month is gonna bust me!

friday has the monthly Electric Workers jam
saturday and sunday is ANTHONY ROTHER, ELLEN ALLIEN, DJ GODFATHER ETC.....!!!!!!
my legs are gonna be mighty tired....but well worth the pain!

there are two sides to Gaetano these days!
He also produces A pumpin tech house which is a right but he should really should stay with producing techno if he wants to not lives up to the name boretano
but I am sure I will be there just as long as it is not as packed as Steve Bug!

What is tech-house, really? The first time I heard that term 4 years ago, I rolled over laughing. Sounds like a label to convince house heads to listen to techno, and tech heads to listen to house.
Just one man's opinion, but it's all house to me...wait I mean it's all techno to me.

I know exactly what record you are talking about. I purchased it then when I got home I realized I will never play it. The beat was pumpin on the one side but as in production wise it really didnt do much for me. It didnt change much and it had a single loop the same way through. The other side had an alright house sound to it, but again it wasnt executed right for me to want to play it.
Also Tekkid I am not saying "Tech-house" is bunk because that is the majority of what I play. There are many different forms of "tech-house" today that is hard to actually figure out almost what to call "Tech-House".
BTW is anyone going to Element tonite?

I'm not a big tech-house fan at all
but after hearing a couple of tracks off of that southsoul label, especially gaetanos most recent one, it was great.
I can understand why some people arent excited for his return, mainly becuase gaetek and marco carolla are really the only djs that make it here (european techno-wise).
there's TONNES of other european techno producers and djs to pick from, most of them have never been to toronto before.
regardless i will probably check this out.

Let's take a quiz. I'll list 10 labels and someone can tell me which are tech-house. They're all music to me, but i suppose genres are just a method of making it easier to organize record shops and chat about music.

I think that this is just a rumour. My sister promotes for Element and she hasn't said a thing about that. So it is still on, pending any unfortunate circumstances.

Well... Im excited about this... just b/c I know he can play techno just okay... So I would imagine his Tech-house set would be fantastic... cause you can't really fuck that up...

i think i remember marco stoppin in for a surprise set on the Klip party weekend...

yes, he did make a surprise appearance at element last year. it was a week or two before klip. he played upstairs though. the sound is much better downstairs at element.
i for one am really hyped for this. it'll be rammed, but hopefully there are several other events taking place on that night. after all, it is a holiday weekend.
