Rockstar and Take-Two Interactive has officially announced the PC version of the smash hit PS2 title - Grand Theft Auto 3 - today and here's some sreenshots..

The resolution capabilities alone blow away ps2's IMO.

If it wasn't for games like this, I would be take'n out all my rage on the roads in real life.

For those who play it. How many frick'n cops do I have to kill to get that 6th star? Shit, I've blown up like 50 helicopters.

the worst i've ever had was the FBI came after me.... .. i still managed to steal one of their cars and take it for a short cruise hehe.

i thought there were only 5.
blowing up helicopters is a good start. try toasting a tank with the flamethrower though, that's good times.

i dunno. the pc version looks sick, but the game play got old pretty fast.

maybe it just wasn't my type of game, but after a couple of dozen, steal this car, drive car here by this much time missions, the game wasn't exciting any more. everything got really repetitive. and that riot game seems like an extension of that problem. once the novelty of shooting cops wore off, i wasn't too capitivated. by the time the third city with the airport and alll got opened up i had lost all interest and didn't finish it.

kife, if you pick off the fbi car with an explosive or heavy machine gun before they get out of it, you'll have army guys on you pretty fast. it's good to do this from an alleyway or the second story of a building because the fbi and army guys try to run you down in their vehicles.

more stars open up as you get further into the game. when you reach the 3rd island or so you'll be able to get 6 stars.

I think I almost preferred it when I could only get 4 stars though, because you don't live long once the tanks and machineguns come after you.

On another thought, I love taking the fish truck for a quick spin careless driving around the city, the thing has no balance....Hey get the F*&^%$ out of the way.....oooops sorry.

Personally I like jumping the tank. Did you know you can get the furthest distance jumping w/ the tank. Face the gun backwards and keep firing that baby starts hauling ass like you wouldn't believe. Then Right as you hit a jump fire again it helps w/ the height. HAHAHA. My current daily police spending is only 3/4 of a million dollars a day. LOL!!!

correction: YOU don't live long once the tanks and machineguns come after you...

just keep an escape car close by once you start blowing shit up, and you'll be okay....or just steal a tank and you can keep it going for a WHILE, unless you drive like an old lady.

My favourite features:

-Car stunts off ramps
-Banging hookers in the back of a station wagon
-Doing drugs and hitting people, who then fly a nice distance
-Doing drugs and sniping people who then bleed as much as on the "extra gore" cheat function
-The extra gore cheat which makes people bleed profusely out of severed limbs
-Doing drive-bys while riding on top a yellow cab...

but mostly it's all about banging hookers while being on drugs and then beating them to death...
