Anyone know if it is possible to put downloaded tv episodes on a CD that will play in a standard DVD player? If so, how do I do this and what software is required?

save as a windows media file. Many dvd players can handle that.

I'm not that much of a g33k though, and I don't even own a dvd player so I'm sure you'll get much better answers than I can provide you with.

if you have mpegs just use nero's non-wizard NEW CD option to create a VCD or SVCD depending on the size of your mpeg

Uh, I dunno, but its an option. It's not on the basic start up screen so you have to look around for it. I think I got to it through the program menus.

Perfect thread... :D

I recently bought a DVD Burner and want to download some software to use with it...

I am interested in doing the following...

-Ripping DVDs and burning them...
-Burning my AVI movies to DVD so I can play them on my DVD player... (Creating DVD menus would be a bonus)...
-and, just all around CD burning...

I tried downloading NeoDVD but it doesn't seem to work...

Any suggestions would be appreciated...

dvd burners are addicting :)

for software find / buy / pirate the following..

Nero Burning rom (for the actuall write to the cd/dvd)

DVDshrink (to rip dvd's w/ copywrite protection) - Freeware

other quality software to have in your collection is TMPEG (sp??) & CCE (Cinema Craft Encoder) .. these 2 are good for doing avi/divx to vcd/SVCD .

and 2 of the best links for tutorials and guides

If you need help "finding" any software , give me a PM , i can help you out.

dvd burners are not fun with out a good torrent site.
