Lambeau Field will be converted into an outdoor ice hockey stadium for the Frozen Tundra Hockey Classic at 3 p.m. on Feb. 11, 2006, featuring the Wisconsin Badgers skating against the Ohio State Buckeyes.
A portable rink will be set up on the north half of Lambeau Field. Fans are advised that due to the classic football seating arrangement of Lambeau Field, different viewing angles will exist for the hockey rink. Seats in the lower portion of the bowl will be closer to the action and provide a unique experience, but due to the lower viewing angle, a more limited view of the ice exists. Seats located higher in the bowl will afford fuller views of the ice.
Both the Stanley Cup and Lombardi trophies will be there. I thought the Edmonton Outdoor was really cool. I'd love to see something similiar in Ontario, or a Leafs/Sabres match at Rich.
Leaf fans, mind no. 10 for Wisconsin, our propect Robbie Earl, a junior who's having great year (27 gp, 14g, 20a).
