friday night pub/club crawls

does anyone have a good recco for locations or areas for a pub/club crawl on a friday night? I'm thinking of a focus on dundas west with bellwoods brewry, get well and a few others may be fun. ideally we would be looking at spots where you don't pay cover (or minimal cover) and the crowds at some of the stops have some interesting prospects for the single friends in the group.

Wish I knew. My pub crawls now start Saturdays 12pm and end around 7pm.

Some of my favourite spots to pub crawl include Little Italy and the Danforth.

Favourite pub by far is Town Crier (Adelaide @ John).

gotta be honest, that area is becoming less and less appealing.

as a drunken bar hop it's probably a decent destination.

I stood in line at Get Well 2 weeks ago because a bunch of friends were in there for a welcome back party. I got so pissed waiting in line because

a) it was a bunch of drunken suburban kids. being stupid, pushing and shoving. Is that place new? I'd never been there before. single drunk girls in line (being obnoxious but if that's what you're looking for you might get lucky)

b) there are better places to hang out. Camp 4, The Garrison (which was having a turning point party), Red light and Bunda Lounge (where i really wanted to be).

so anyway, i'm standing there getting more and more hot under the collar and my buddy grabs me. apparently they couldn't get in earlier so they were hanging out at the Nova Era bakery across the street where we could wait for everyone else to show up. there ended up being 15-20 of us hanging out at the bakery. they have booze! and little Portuguese beers for $3. we got kicked out when they closed around midnight and ended up at Our House. not my scene, but there were def drunk chicks looking to get picked up so you can check that place out. no cover and cheap shots.

the painted lady also attracts people looking to pick up.

i left and went to get my dance on at Bunda. cozy little space that's been "renovated" to make a bigger dance floor.

there's another bar further west. don't know what it's called, you go up a few stairs to get in. really chill, friendly bartenders.

Pubs I don't know. Bars with music and potential dancing along there are Bunda (more dancing), Red Light and Bambi's.

i tried to go to get well back in february. we actually waited in line for 15 minutes. waited in line for a bar! what tomfoolery is this? when we got inside, the crowd was so douchey, we lasted for one drink. i think the problem is that they were on blogTO's best new bars list. never again!

i think the bar further west you are talking about is the fountain.
