Got there around 11:30 as the doors were meant to open @ 11, but didn't till around 12. Then ala Studio 54 style we all had to stand around in line waiting to get picked. Mboy and Jess got in first then I did where I managed to find the one bouncer I knew and get the rest of the crew in without much Delay. The place was already pumping this early though until about 2 AM the hip hop room was pretty much empty. In the Afterhours part where Seamen and Graham spun it got undanceably PACKED after about 2:30 , the rest of the night I could mostly be found in the Hip Hop Area. Props to the 514 Productions for lighting , decorations, good crowd control and vibe. We left around 9:30 AM , though Sona was still full of people and was hopping till about 1 pm the next day (from what I hear, I was long asleep and in bed by now though!)
Dj Jazzy Jeff owned. Magic on the turntables. I sat there with my mouth open and staring, possibly a bit of drool escaping.
The Binary Finary party got shutdown before it even began so Sona was *extra* packed, everytime I went upstairs it seemed to get more full, That's the only thing that really sucked, the inability to DANCE upstairs.
The vibe as usual was incredible, Though Dave pointed out something I hadn't noticed before - Montrealers dance in circles. Still, met lots of cool people, (deacon as well I believe?)
Thanks to my friends who made it out,
MalGlo - You food-slut (lentil lasagna!), thanks for being such a rocking guy.
Cri - The sweetest girl I've ever known, thanks for all the girlie-advice [IMG] (key thief! [IMG] )sometimes you just need estrogen
Cheerbear- Looked HOT in that angel outfit, too much mixups! Never Western Union again. Always great to see you
Cheerbear's crew- You all rock! [IMG] Sorry I was too out of it to say good by, and Sally is the absolute bomb.
Mboy- You always save the day. Always.
Too the Montreal Crew - Eva, Zach, Jen, Jamie, Jess...Once again I'm reminded how much my friends are my anger.

Amazing party, not so amazing next day, but Jazzy Jeff's set still owned unbelievably, What I caught of Seb Fontaine's was decent, Max Graham was mediocre. Big all-star lineup, good vibes, -good- friends, good times. This weekend definetly wouldn't be one to forget.

yep.... i always liked this way better than "the stare straight ahead at your cult leader/dj" style of boogieing that seems to be unique to ontario.

Dave Seaman spun, Max Graham, who else? I thought Seb was supposed to. Sorry, I couldn't quite follow from the previously posted responses.

Sorry I posted Dave Seamen by accident as the last time I partied with this crew Seamen was playing, it was actually Seb Fontaine [IMG]
Other big headliner --> DJ Jazzy Jeff
    buncha locals: LaFleche, Tiga etc.

    I had fun [IMG]

Left really early (around 4?) cause the boy was in a bad mood, so we crashed @ Allies till Angie came to get her stuff and then we crashed at the Hotel.

Thanks Allie for everything. [IMG] I had a blast, and it was great seeing you and meeting your friends [IMG]

    I wanna see the pictures!

    I went [IMG]

I would just like to say that I REALLY liked the club [IMG] There were three rooms, and each one had a totally different atmosphere. One room had a clubby atmosphere, one had a party/"rave" atmosphere, and the other was totally chill [IMG] It was awesome.

AND DJ Jazzy Jeff was wikkid..wow.. [IMG]

I ended up leaving at 5am cuz the extreme heat was overwhelming me unfortunately [IMG] BUt I am glad I went, definetley an experience...and thanx to mah favorite redhead (proud new owner of a butterfly) for having us over *mwaH*

    Sona is awesome.

I really enjoyed how depending on which room you were in, it was as if you were in a completely different club. There was the hiphop room that was nice and chill, upstairs from that at one end was a room that reminded me of turbo. On the other side of the basement stairs led to what i'll refer to as a super-club that keeps on giving. People on pillars, great lights, nice decorations, tons of glowsticks (adds to the environment) multiple levels, TONS OF PEOPLE HAVING THE TIME OF THEIR LIFE.

I mostly chilled in the hiphop room for the night because i was really there to see Jazzy Jeff. Words can not describe how amazing he is. I've heard he was good, and i've been listening to him and the prince since I bought my 'parents just don't understand' TAPE in the '80s. This was a pleasure. He layed down a couple of 'fresh prince' scratches... some really nice oldskool hiphop (OPP..... Blacksheep...) and will skill i'll probably never see matched.

As far as the 'superclub'/afterhours room, thats where the likes of max graham and seb fontaine were. I ventured in there a few times and was enveloped by the atmosphere(and the heat).. Max seemed to be his usual self.. jumping up and down to the builds.. slammin his hands down to the drops... loving every moment of it. A nice set from what i heard. He played some 'big-club' tracks, reminded me DJ Dan's set at connected.

Seb Fontaine I just caught briefly but he seemed to follow where Max left off.

As for the rest of the night.. it was spent in the hiphop room -- and i tell you, leaving at about 8am -- first time in a LONG time i've left a party and its been light out!

The trip to montreal was definately worth it, for more reasons than just the party -- but the party helped.

Thanks for everyone who made it special.
