Food on the Danforth

I know there are a bunch of Tribers who live in this neighbourhood. Where are your favourite places to eat? I'm looking for places that are affordable and not so bad for me.... and I'm really hungry right now so post your ideas quick! I just got back from class and I DO NOT feel like cooking.

What up Bumbaclat?

I've lived in that neighbourhood before and pretty much any greek restaurant on the danforth is good. There are a few that I've been to but no names come to mind. You really can't go wrong. Also try this indian place, its on the south side about a block or 2 east of broadview with a silver looking sign. Damn, you're makin me hungry just posting this.

i like astoria. great greek restaurant. i totally recommend it. i don't live near there, but that's my pick for that area.

Kalyvia near Chester on the North side. Owned by 2 brothers that are really short. One looks exactly like super mario except no overalls.

They have everything from greek pasta to the usual souvlaki. Intimate, tiny patio. Cheap. A good place to take a honey. Waiters very discrete too.

Ooohh...and Diamond Pizza!!!

Best gravy and best chicken fingers!!! It's slightly off of the Danforth, but they deliver, and they are goooooooood.

There is an awsome indian resturant on the south side of the danforth between broadview and pape. Really good food but I can't remember what it's called.

I like the mexican just up the street from it too.

if you're talking about sher e punjab, it's crap.

but it's cheap...so it's a tossup.

and i've heard good things about sakawaya (danforth and donlands)

i don't even know if they have food (other than the irish granny dinner they serve in the back room) but dora keogh's is one of the best pubs in the universe.

I also like Allen's food as well.

Yeah...I've been since they changed it, and they closed it again. they just can't seem to get that place right. But the Ballroom was nice.
