First concert

The first concert I remember going to was Leonard Cohen, though I think we went to see Bo Diddley before that but I do not remember it at all.

The first BIG concert I went to was U2 in Edmonton. My sisters, my dad and I drove 8 or so hours to get to Edmonton and see them. It was amazing.

The actual first concert I went to (i don't count it b/c it was with my parents) was Mike and The Mechanics.

I also don't count that because it wasn't fun.

I think it was the dennis miller band??

OMG
so many people smoking up and they were really old it was funny!

it was at the ontario place and we left early and trying to disrupt the concert as much as we could.....the music was like... so mellow man....groovey.

um, yea my frist live concert was probably at some rave.

I should have said: The song that the band is known for is "fly like an eagle"

Very hippy type of song. Anyways, I should also clarify that that was my first type of concert/event that I went to. But the tickets we got were for free (I went with a friend of mine). Thus, the very first concert I probably went was to see either Rabbit in the Moon at some rave or some sort of other live act..probably richie hawtin 'cause he was one of the first true live acts I ever saw. And it was for $15.00 (around that range).

I should also add that I haven't seen that many live bands, althought I like rock and roll a bit. I have seen more dj's and electronic music performers than "rock and roll". Just 'cause I never felt comfortable being the only non white person usually at these shows. Especially in the punk scene!

OMG - was it the Leonard Cohen tour in... 1993??

I saw his show on that tour in Hamilton!! It was awesome.

It was a couple weeks after my FIRST concert - the BNL.... spring 1993 also :)

(I'm not counting the Bob Schneider concert circa 1980something... '82? '83?...)

My first concert was Duran Duran....the Seven and the Ragged Tiger Tour in 1984. I wish I still had the concert jersey I bought that night...looking back, it would be pretty dope.

Although, seeing as I was in grade 6, it wouldn't fit me anymore....oh well.

Technically, this old Chinese pop singer and Aaron Kwok. With my pops. It was fun.

But by myself? The Girlie Show Tour in 93!
It was orgasmic.

hmm, I went to a bunch of the ones at Kinswood there in the 80's, Dan Hill, Earth Wind and Fire, the Temptations, the Nylons...

Went with my aunt to the Rolling Stones Steel wheels tour

Went to every one of the another roadside attractions with the Hip, and Edenfest, and a bunch of festivals like that.

Best concerts for me would have to be Tool, seen them twice, once at the Wrehouse, Aenema tour and once at Copps for the Lateralus tour, both were phenominal!

Hehe - I was at that concert :)

It was awesome... even IF our seats were at the very back of the stadium...

I wonder where the (way too big) black Stone Temple Pilots T I bought that day is...

I agree. And it was the bonuses from that night that made it for me. Met several wonderful girls. One who gave me a place to sleep over for the rest of the evening. ;) And another who became one of my best friends (and still is).

Cheers ... Ian :)
