My hiatus from d&b is shameful. I am an unworthy disgraceful member of the junglist community. Tonight's music made me remember why I started partying amongst sweaty people in a dark room in the first place.

After getting loaded and almost passing out like sardines in Girl Friday's bed, we hauled our asses in the car and made it down to Pilot for The Om Festival Fundraiser. WICKED venue. Intimate, nicely lit and wonderful staff. Too bad for the early shutdown just after 2.

Awesome sets by Jonas (a guy from my school) and Navi (sp?), Malia's friend who spun at H&M's Christmas bash. The guy is very talented and his taste in d&b is impeccable. Congratulations to Justin for his first public appearance. I can't stop playing his cd so it was nice to see the man in action.

Nice to see a good OCAD turnout but I get all self-conscious knowing my fellow classmates know how I dance to drum & bass.

But the topper of the night? No MC's (thank God) and lots of smiles. Thugs are so two years ago.

I was VERY happy to hear the remix of Roni Size's Snapshot, first heard at the TBK Cottage Adventure dropped by DJ Code. Well-received by the crowd as well.

Anyway, had a great time and thought I'd plug the Federal Sounds cru cuz they always throw great events with an amazing vibe. If anyone ever wants to convert, I would suggest going to one of their events.

We got Vinder hooked. He'll be a junglist in no time.

fun party, nice venue, great tunes, great people. what more do you want? from someone who never steps foot in the jungle/dnb room and rarely listens to dnb, this was a wicked party! dunno any of the tracks dropped, didn't recognize anyone except who i came with (except for kul-kat who we almost bailed on cause we all fell asleep while girl friday was on the phone for what seemed like an eternity), but man was it good! danced my ass off to dnb, even though i have no idea how to dance to it. i now know why all junglists carry towels

the best thing? no mc's and no thugs!

all in all, a totally unexpected fun night out, can't wait till the next one.

DnB = so good without MC's what a great night, the music was fantastic, I can hardly wait to see these guys in action at OM. Thanks to the crew that came with me and to Kul Kat for just being so damn kool in everyway. Next time I'll give you guys more food and less wine so you don't pass out so easily
