i suspect that you may be on to something...board speed dropped to about 30% of what it once was, a lot of people stopped posting and more people are posting solely out of boredom. :(

i like seeing the number of views too though.

i really liked when someone bumped a thread from the old message board, and couldn't figure out why it had more posts than reads.
However, I was smart enough to realize that the reads are a value stored in a field, in a table, in a database. And since the old message board didn't have that field in the table, it was totally natural for the # of posts to be higher than the # of reads.

well, I do love random pictures, but I thought that I'd also bring up the EDIT button!
although I do miss the humour in the UBB scoring system, it is convenient for those last second spelling and grammar errors.
although red X's just don't have the humor they used to.

Rising to the scent of a basket of rotten meat, a shark is lured into a weighted noose slung between the hulls of a double canoe. In the painting the line is payed out as the shark continues moving forward. A moment later the line will be jerked taut and the canoe will be taken on a wild ride. After the shark tires, another noose can be slipped over its tail, and the fish pulled backward until it drowns. The belief that sharks feed closer to the surface when the sun is lower in the sky cautions many Pacific Islanders against taking a sunset swim.

I agree... the board content quality has SERIOUSLY lacked as of late... many can go ahead and feel comfortable blaming it on the new VBULL format.

However, anyone who's been on this board for AWHILE, know that it goes through highs and lulls. The same people know that when it's good, it's fucking gold, but when it's low, it's just hurtin'

We ride it out, and soon the cycle will come around again. I'm just gonna sit back and wait it out... my post ratio cycles with the board too.
