TORONTO - A Toronto woman is facing charges in a sex assault case at a downtown frat house.
Toronto Police received a call about the assault at a fraternity house in the area of Dundas St. W. and McCaul St. around 3 a.m. Saturday.
Police say a woman entered the house through an unlocked door and when one of the tenants asked the woman what she was doing there she threatened him with pepper spray. Two more tenants heard the commotion and came out of their rooms to see what was happening.
Police say three tenants, all in their 20s, repeatedly asked the woman to leave before she allegedly fired off the pepper spray into the air, Const. Jenniferjit Sidhu said.
The woman then allegedly sexually assaulted a 20-year-old man.
Police arrested the suspect the same day. Hicham Laghzaoui, 38, is charged with unlawfully being in a dwelling, three counts of assault with a weapon, possession of a prohibited weapon and sexual assault.
Police believe there may be more victims, as the suspect may have entered other homes at other times without those incidents being reported. Anyone with information is asked to call officers at 416-808-7474.
