so there's strikers out front of my building this morning, and the KKKops are there chatting away with their lead bully and they're laughing and joking and swapping strike stories. meanwhile the strikers are standing shoulder to shoulder blocking access to the privately owned building that i work in.

people who are trying to get into the building and have nothing to do with the strike are being physically blocked from entering the building. that is specifically in violation of the court orders and is illegal. i politely pointed it out("excuse me officer, but they are blocking non-government employees from entering the building") to the bicycle pig and he TURNED HIS BACK TO ME!!!!

seriously WTF? pointing out somebody being bullied in a direct violation of a court order gets the cold shoulder?

i politely asked a cop why dog owners have to clean up after their animals after they leave a few dropplings of shit on the ground, yet cops and their horses drop 11 pounds of shit in one try and they just keep on walking..

he told me "go fuck yourself kid"

Is it the job that turns ALL cops into assholes or is the asshole psyche necessary to perform copley duties?

All little of collumn A, a little of collumn B?

Either way, assholes.

True, a lot of them can be assholes, but I would rather much have assholes than pushovers, right?

Discussed, yada yada.

A few weeks ago I was walking home from a party at Surface on a Saturday night and I saw a guy getting pretty close to being physically abusive to his girlfriend. I hung around a judicious distance away and watched to make sure the situation didn't escalate. The guy was getting more and more agitated, and pulling his arm back like he was going to pop her, which he didn't do. Regardless, I ran around the corner to Savannah lounge where there were 4 cops standing around chatting with the bouncers. I told the cops of the situation, where they were and my worry that he was going to smash her. They assured me they would take care of it.

I walked away, satisfied, then turned and watched them to make sure they found the couple (they were in a doorway). The cops walked two feet around the corner, looked for a second, probably didn't even see the couple, but instead of walking 70 feet down King street and checking, they just turned around and went back to chatting. I was pretty pissed off that as a citizen I had taken the time to try and assure some sort of help for a person in a physically threatening situation, and they just ignored it.

No, I didn't step into the fight between a drunken girl and her enraged boyfriend. But I did try to assure that someone WHOS DUTY IT IS TO ENSURE THE SAFETY OF THE PUBLIC would look after it.

Silly me.

I wouldn't worry too much Rosey. Asshole cops usually fall into the holy trinity of social despair - alcoholism, divorce and suicide. Eventually these will win over. And then you will be able to hold an all night dance party on his grave, having a drink and banging his ex-wife!!!:)

I grew Up in Peel and the cops out there are the worst...

I've had a gun pulled on me when I was 16, cause me and a friend were with 4 girls walking to the mall @ about 5pm. Cops driving by noticed we were walking 20FT behind a skinhead.

They thought we were gonna jump him, they grabbed the skinhead and took him around the corner and yelled at us to stay put, I went around the corner to find out what the problem was and the cop drew his gun and said "get the fuck back around the corner you little punk".

We were scared shittless, finally we figured if we all walked out they couldn't shoot us. As we proceeded to walk by them I said hello to my childhood friend Mike (the skinhead). The cops looked in amazement and one said " You guys know eachother?" I replied yes " he lives across the street from me" they let him and us go....

where I grew up there were gangs, but the cops didn't realize there was never any real trouble in our neighborhood. Whatever little there was, the cops never came by till it was too late.

Cops are a joke and just a way to protect the rich and harrass the poor, it's really a shame considering the rich are the biggest criminals of all...

I'm down with that Kyfe...peel cops...yikes!

Simply because they have nothing better to do. I walk in the southern part of Mississauga, by the lake all the time, and get stopped. I'm just walking dood, yes it's 2:33am, but I was at the bar. Empty my pockets, do the hokey-pokey and moonwalk...whatever! I get pulled over while driving at 4:00am for no reason almost every weekend (not always at 4:00am, but you get the idea) and everytime I ask why it's the same excuse

"There's been reports of some burglaries" Ok that worked once, but 5-10 times after that!

Peel cops are bored. They need something to do.

P.S. Rosey, walk about 20 yards back, then start running towards the crowd yelling COWABUNGA! that'll work.

Peel cops are so bored..

I've had peel cops beat my friend senseless for no reason.

I've had a drunken peel cop captain on duty, almost beat up my friend in front of me.. the only reason he stopped was cuz my friend mentioned that his best friend was a metro cop.

Just to prove to my friends how bored they were, I took them for a drive at about 2 am on Dundas from 427 to Hurontario and back, told them we would get pulled over for sure.

I made 100 percent sure i stayed at the limit and drove properly, sure enough just when i turned back onto dundas from hurontaio to go back, we were motioned over by a squad car, then 3 more backups arrived. Their excuse, they thought we didn't have our seatbelts on.

pffft.

Hi, I'm no-appeal peel region police, we need 3 squad cars to determine that 3 people have seatbelts on.

I heard of a cop that let a 16-year-old family friend suck him off. He was apparently a racist bigot too.

was he from peel?

granted there are lots of punks in peel, but nothing major ever happens aside from car thefts and b&e's, Peel is the car theft capital of canada, or it was a few years back;)

Toronto cops sound like perfect complements to the stereotypes. I can't say I've ever had a problem with the ones around here or that they've done anything remotely close to the bullshit described above.

The other thing is that cops are in a strong union too, and i doubt the police union wants to cross the opse-union.

bad politics.

... to add on....

Police know the difficulties that arise from trying to bargain with the government. Couple that with the fact that cops can't strike or take any job action if they feel they need to, and you get a lot of sympathy from them.

I try not to let one or two asshole hardass cops give the rest of them a bad name. Often they're just trying to make a living, from my experience.

i have ALWAYS gone out of my way to be nothing but polite and respectful to police officers. the responses back have been everything from verbal abuse to just as polite back.

i find that the more trouble you are in, the more polite and strictly formal they are.
