my printer is injecting huge amounts of neon green into any area of my photo that is black with a hint of colour in it.......

i've printed photos before and the colors synched perfectly...

anyone else ever had this problem?

not yet... but I've only done about a dozen prints and nothing sourced from a digital cam yet.

but everything I've seen so far I'm pretty happy with.

i was happy too until now - i'm down to about 1/4 on my cartridgres, but i hope to hell i don't have to replace them already...
and i don't know why black = neon green!

Your one of your jets is most likely clogged, or you've run out of a colour.

Go into the utilities and select head cleaning (which you should do fairly often anyways).

    That should help.

If you're printing a photograph, the printer will print a 4-colour black (aka: rich black). This means that the black you see will contain all 4 colours to make the blak seem blacker. If it's coming out green, the yellow and Cyan jets seem to be firing, but the magenta and/or black ones aren't.
