They're super simple...all you do is enter the person's email addy, and it sends them an email with a link in it that the person clicks on which then sends em to a page where they choose which bank they use and it automatically sends them to the login page for their online banking. Once they've logged in, it asks them to confirm the amount, then asks a security question, then asks them to confirm one last time. Then BAM! Money is instantly in account. SO easy - and pretty much instant. Best way to go if you have to transfer money to someone who has an account at a diff bank...

I bank with PC financial which isn't one of the "4" bank they service... so I have to wait 3-5... kinda stupid considering PC is through CIBC

not that they're really expensive or anything anyway but hey, the fewer fees i pay the better

Wait a second!

I was trying to do an email money transfer a couple of weeks ago and couldn't find where on the PC banking website to go for that. I looked all over the place.

How do you get to that option once you're signed in?

you can't do email transfers through PC banking... you can only do wire transfers. I transfered the funds from a BMO account to pc account.
click on transfers and then underneath that little red menu and new grey one appears... then you click on wire transfers.

and as for BMO employees getting 2 free email money transfers... sorry to tell you, but you're not so special.... everyone with BMO does! :p

Try the http://www.certapay.com/en/homepage.cfm
site

The banks use their transfer engine for all their email money moves.

PC banking is unlikely to be included though. Only the 5 big banks I think.
