All this talk of a coup.
We're talking about the people who confused a landscaping business for a hotel.
We're talking about a guy who stared at a solar eclipse when told not to.
We're talking about people who couldn't contain COVID 19, and floundered when they caught it.
I actually kind of hope they try it. I'd love to see Donald Jr and Eric getting the shit kicked out of them on the White House lawn by the Secret Service and, God forbid if they succeeded by dumb luck, see how long they could try to hold themselves in power.
Doubt it'd be for too long and the endgame peaceful.

Smoke and mirrors for the rube crowd that are losing their shit right now. Trump knows he has no chance. He’s just a baseline narcissist loser. He just wants to stir the pot before he heads to Mar-a-Lago for Christmas. My bet is, he doesn’t return to the Whitehouse, submits his resignation from there and then waits until his blanket pardon from Pence comes through. He has up until January 20 to ensure this. Anything else and he flees. He has lots of cash tucked away overseas. ...and he can run a television network and scam development company from almost anywhere in the world.
As much as I’d love to see Jr., Eric, Ivanka and her bitch-ass husband spit teeth, the only way that happens is through incarceration. There’s a long road to that and it’s unlikely. I think that one will be left to the streets.
...but make no bones. The Trump family are a bunch of pussies. They’re not playing this game to win. They know they’re done in Washington. They’re just playing the game to make sure that everyone loses as well.

He is totally self sabotaging though - if not dumb he's also his own worst fucking enemy. He's done a lot of dumb things, like insulting the dead senator of a major red state he ended up losing by only a few votes.... i could go on.... just picking a recent one for sake of argument.
He's certainly cunning - which is a form of intelligence i think. Too bad the cunning is married to the self-sabotage. Could have gone a lot further, easily cinched a 2nd term.

Another example of Trump Self Sabotage: focusing on HEALTH CARE (year 1) and squandering all his political capital on the toughest file in all of government, broke apart upon the file cause he knows nothing about health care and even less about how the sausage is made in legislature.
Way smarter people than him failed spectacularly on the same file - he did far worse. And he did that mostly out of being vindictive and wanting to get revenge on Obama.
If he had just spent a trillion building things in America, making America First, and then when covid came not being a complete asshat about it and trying to lead everyone in fighting it - fuck he woulda landslided this election.
But he is KIND of dumb, at least strategically dumb.

Knowledge wise, he's a complete and utter dunce - he knows fuck all and is completely enthralled with television and he's prone to saying the first thing that comes to mind and locking down on it, even if it's the dumbest fucking position he could take.
I don't know if cunning is the right word - he seizes on moments that he tries to turn to his advantage, but in a vindictive 8 year old throwing a tantrum horseshit kind of way. I honestly think it's the idea that he has money that attracts a lot of people around him that are smarter than him, but have none of his interests in mind. Without his money, he'd be fucking useless. Cunning people don't usually rely on the approval of others so desperately, which I think is the key to his self sabotaging nature, and this point is why I split hairs on this.
