anyone see that "EDitorial" segment that he did yesturday? it was so funny. he made fun of his boss, all the other vjs and i'd say that he's about to lose his job... anyone know if he's been fired yet?

i love how he sticks it out there. he talked about how record labels used to try to bring forward new sounds for the sake of art and progression, not just money. and lately record labels aren't willing to promote anything of value in the main stream media because it would take more work and cost more money. and he talked about how all the stations promote nothing but crap and offer no alternative to the mind numbing garbage. he included much music in the list of worthless stations contributing to the problem.

i think his late night tv show is making fun of the people who watch it.... so i try not to watch it so that i'm not the joke.... as for the other stuff he's doing lately, i think it's great. someone needs to bash that channel. we all sit around and make fun of the shit that is played, so i think it's about time that someone alerts the station to the fact that 80% of the programming sucks ass.

do you ever think that the reason ed gets away with it is because it gets the anti-much music people like us to watch much music?
and inbetween his rantings he plays the same videos that the other vjs play too. just he's allowed to call britney a slut or backstreet boys gay or u2 sell outs or whatnot.

its just a ploy to tap into the jaded music fans attention & get ratings from the gen-x demographic.

IT'S THE TRUTH!!

MuchMusic know they play crap but they get huge ratings from the teen demographic which is more important.

They same goes for local promoters, they know they can bring in crowds if they keep bringing in the same DJs

The bottom line is that people are arfraid of change...when they start changing their tastes then perhaps programmers/promoters will try to.

P.S. Much MORE Music (ch 36) is not half bad!
