yup. trendy try-hards killed it. trap credited as an accomplice. (though trap's days are numbered too). packaged, commodified, sold back to you at a higher price.

Just going through a bit of this thread, and never having much deep knowledge of older dubstep, it sure sounds way better than the later stuff that came out. Too bad so many of the videos are dead and removed by now, but still plenty of gems in here. I could spend a few hours easy ! Thanks!
