Doug Ford government taken to court over Ontario Place development
An injunction has been filed to stop the provincial government from developing the West Island of Ontario Place, arguing the building of a private spa will result in the “complete obliteration of the naturalized ecosystem.”
This will not end well.
I worked at The Beer Store for 6 years (a long time ago).
I also lived in New Brunswick for several years.
From a purely recycling perspective, unless you have that piece figured out, you're F'd.
In NB, there was no be Beer Store. It is provincily run (NB Alcohol) and the don't have a recycling program as we do.
The recycling depots are privately owned in partnership with the province.
So in essence, if you want to
your bottles and cans and get your deposit back , you take them to a dedicated location. Don't see the Beer Store saying sure, we'll keep taking all the recycling unless you make it worth our while. Which in layman's terms, pay up Doug Ford and all the tax payers of Ontario.
