Doug Ford's solution to the housing crisis is allowing anyone who owns property to build and rent parts of it out to two other people.

This proposal is an abomination.

Home equity and rent payment credit for renters, now. Not slave shacks.

It's true, the mere fact of property ownership will allow thousands of Ontarians to passively collect the income of two other people, who will also live on their property, in substandard dwellings.

Under this plan, the labour of the small folk, will underwrite the costs of the landholders. If you own land, you can legally also own two people. How is this perverse proposal not recognized as slavery? Is it because we have to apply to be owned, first?

I'll reiterate: Home equity and rent payment credit for renters, now.

Toronto actually did this before, by the way. 100 years ago it was called "Shacktown". It ended in crisis and disease. Shacktown's back, baby! Maybe this time it will end in revolution.

Notwithstanding clause for imposing a contract on a constitutionally protected labour sector.

Why do we need a Premier when all he does in the face of effective leadership is go snow mobiling during emergencies, hook up big business developers and private LTC operators, and overrule the constitution when it lets him get away from doing actual work?
