Doublecross - Head Nodding Beats

First off, sweet mix, i'm listening to side one right now and its a great selection that brings me back to the summer.

I just noticed something cool about it though, you have 3 danny byrd songs in a row which works really well and the cool thing is that none of them is actually a Danny Byrd tune per se. The London Elecktricity tune us remixed by him, Filibuster is him with 60 minute man, and then the Rnb vs Dnb I believe is his production. Usually if you put a lot of one producer in a row it gets dull, but this is really cool.

Cool, thanks Evan. To tell you the truth, I didn't even know they were all him! I thought Filibuster was a separate artist, and I thought the r'n'b vs d'n'b bootleg was two different artists, with the Danny Byrd side as the other version.
Guess you learn something every day! And now my respect for Danny Byrd just went up a lot... dude has some serious skills!

danny byrd is an absolutely brilliant producer. I don't know where he gets his breaks from or if he makes them himself, but they tend to have such an offbeat sound, they cycle on 64 beat patterns usually (instead of 4 or 8). Its almost an old skool type approach but they're really hard hitting.

And of course he's just so damn funky. If you haven't yet check out Do It Again, it came out just before changes but i don't think it got a wide release, you can order it for 5P from the hospital website though.

Evan - it's done with a .smil file. I'm not sure exactly how to do it though, my friend Angus who designed the website did that for me as well. I agree it is very cool though, and useful.
