That's hilarious. I used to go to the Eaton's one cuz they had amazing prime rib for cheap. I was just talking about it yesterday to an American. It seems to me like there's fewer small restaurants in TO where you can get roast beef and mashed potatoes. One of my favourites used to be The Bay Cafe on the sixth floor. The views were great, and they had an evening roast beef special for under $10. I was very disappointed when they got rid of that cafe.
I can't remember the last time I went to the Keg... The Jurassic period maybe. Kegs used to be everywhere in Toronto, but I haven't seen one in ages, Are they still around?

The Keg is still very alive and well. The York Street one has a great patio and the app specials are amazing. Great food to be honest.
I recently went to the York Street patio...and I was treated like a king.
They are a Canadian institution of sorts who have high expectations of how to serve their customers.
Recently, I ordered a medium rare steak. The waitress was refilling our drink order when she noticed me cut into my steak. It wasn't medium rare. I didn't even say a word and the steak was promptly taken away and my drink given to me for free.
