Does anybody know anything about an event at Mockingbird last Friday?

It was a minimal techno affair featuing 2 live acts from San Fran. I thought it was a wicked time but knew nothing of who was playing or throwing the party as I just followed some friends on their night.
Any info?

Great event! Building Blocks does it again. Ian Guthrie opened and played well despite the sound problems. Twerk was up live next, got the place moving. Safety Scissors was the second live act and stole the show for me. He dropped some super FUNKY s#%@ at the end of his set, and I was digging the live vocals- nice change

All around good work from the Force Inc. boys. I love that glitchy Cali sound.

Algorithm played next, we left shortly after he came on. It looked like he might be headed for a trademark tantrum with the decks skipping and all. Anyone one know of he broke something?

Kudos to Ian and Justin for throwing a techno event where the ratio of guys to girls was more like 60:40 than the typical 80:20

It was nice to dance to some techno music and see some eye-candy at the same time. There nothing like a beautiful woman who's into techno...

yeah, it was a great party, and definetly nice to see some ladies in da house.

Didn't see Algorithm break anything though; my girl was disappointed. She only seen him play a few times, and wanted him to pull a rock star move. I always tell her about his record-breaking, jabbing needles into cigarette days.

We need more parties like this.

Cheers,

Derek
