when you run into the coffee shop or the store, or anywhere for that matter?

Unless your just stopped at the curb to get out real quick and drop some mail in the old red mailbox, I find it completely unacceptable to leave your car running while standing in line for 5 minutes waiting for your begal. Or even at the gas station I notice this all the time and there is a big sign, you can't miss it - "No Idle Zone" asshole.

I actually commented to a guy about this once and he told me that I should stop breathing then cuz the carbon monoxide I exhale is just as bad as leaving a car running. DUDE, I won't even argue cuz you're really stupid.

If I had enough guts, I'd open the door, shut off your car, steal your keys and giggle all the way to work.

jerk.

I'm always tempted to just hop in one of those idling cars and drive off.

I remember reading a story last summer I think where some dude got his jag stolen cause he left it running unlocked while he grabbed a Subway sandwich.

it's not like I'm an environmental activist but it's common sense. I do my best to be environmentally friendly, but I'm not by any means perfect.

I understand it's winter, but don't be a pussy, the engine will still be warm in 5-10 minutes.

argh, it's just so irritating.

........I think stealing their keys would be WAY funnier than stealing their car. Although I've thought of stealing it, driving it a few blocks away, then locking the keys IN the car.

never leave my car idling, a black guy might steal it

As fucking if.

The Blacks would take one ook at your beaded seat covers (madatory equipment in all Brown-owned cars) and move on to the next one.

Unless you've got a good stereo, They might jack that.

I used to turn my car off at red lights, but now I just don't give a flying fuck any more. I've come to accept how fucking stupid 98% of the population is, and there is no chance in hell the 2% who understand shit like idling and whatnot can change the mediocre mass of idiocy.

In some European countries, it is mandatory to shut off your engine while at a red light. And it actually cuts smog by a huuuuge amount.

What people can't see, they don't understand. So, you can't see the pollutants directly, you don't care, since you don't understand. Same thing with washing hands-- you don't see the bits of shit, and the coliform bacteria on your hands, well there's nothing there.

If you shrunk the Earth down to a basketball size, the air that we need, that we breathe, would be a sheet the thickness of Saran Wrap. That pretty well means we ARE FUCKED.

I was thinking a nobel would be a bit much. Maybe an engraved watch or something? It is after all, purely for selfish reasons.

When I'm parked temporarily, I actually put a brick on my gas pedal.. the smoke that forms around my car makes it hidden, y'know, so black guys won't steal it.

I never leave my truck running...for a) safety and security reasons, and b) environmental/emissions.

And, the risk of leaving my truck running unattended for *just* 30 seconds isn't worth it...
