I want to get one but know nothing about them, want to spend between $300 and $400, any help would be great, good brands your reviews on what you have any features that they should definatly have and any links to info would help.

when i started looking, i was in that price range, and the best cameras for that amount were the fuji finepix...starting from the a101 ($299). i didn't like the kodaks or any other brand for that matter.

i ended up doubling my budget and getting the camera that i really wanted - the canon elph....drooooooooooooll

Honestly it's a waste!

When I have enough extra cash I'm gonna shell out the dough for a Digital SLR in the future. But for now my Canon S100 does the job.

I picked up the Nikon coolpix 775 for 600 bucks and I love it. A good camera with great quality pics and a good warranty.
