whatta think?

honestly, i dont know that i have ever made love.
i've had sex
i've fucked the shit outta others, and have had it done to myself
i've had bad sex
one night stands (see above two statements)
i've read during sex
i've had unbelivable sex

but really, what is the deal with making love?

DEFINE!

You order pizza after making love, not during.

making love involves an emotional bond...you just know it when you have it.

The fucking, and sex bit is more for physical gratification.

That's the way I see it.

umm..no...they would come (no pun intended) handy (no pun intended) when you want to fuck, or have sex...especially the agressive kind ...ie. using each others body ...

making love is a made up literary term, written by some guy a really long time ago, who probably masturbated too much.

people have sex.
or fuck.
or screw.

they don't make love.

we only make love in books.

whats the earliest you've ever figured you love someone. how do you tell between lust/love?

i know how to have sex, knowing how to love is an entirely new ballgame for me.

Depends on the type of person you are, and who your partner is.

If you are honest to yourself, ie. your not getting in bed for some reason like trying to keep him/her, or you feel like you have to have sex. I think that once you realize that you have to be with that person, and that they mean something to you, that you respect them - you may be in love.

I don't want to give a reductionist explaination of what love is - because it is a lot - But I think you need to have a strong emotional attachment before a physical one.

I guess I knew I was in love(once upon a time) when I couldn't stop thinking about the person, and it affected me physically....I was so lovesick I couldn't eat. It both humbled and empowered me at the same time. It hurt, but I couldn't get enough of it.

I totally disagree. It's an extension of your feelings for that person. If you're close to them and love them deeply, then it'll feel different than if you're with someone you don't care about. It's all about having your head in the right place.

I love my bf and we both said so within a month, which was a bit early. I knew I really liked him at that point, I thought I loved him. Four years later I understand better what love is and it's still evolving.

I guess you could say that lust is a temporary love? Lust fades, love remains. Lust is interested in looks, love is about the inside.

love is when youve been going out with someone for a long time and when you stick your ding dong in her hoo-haw you feel all tingly on the inside

fucking is when you get those uncontrolable animal urges and all you want to do is stick your ding dong in her hoo-haw as fast and with as little talking as possible

sex is when youre feeling horny and want to fuck but dont really have the energy

maybe not.
you could love someone, but not be in love with them, and still make love to them, no?

(there was way too much usage of the word love in that sentance)

hotsauce-you soo didnt have me at hello. :p

I suppose, but what I meant is that there must probably exist some kind of love between you and your partner for making love to happen. Otherwise its just hot passionate sex.

i guess making love is nice and slow.. every move, thrust and touch sends shivers down eachother's spines. Every kiss is long and passionate...ok i'm making myself sick now

When you feel strongly emotionally connected to someone such that they fill that missing part of you that you never knew was missing until you found them, and then you need them you are in love.

Making love is the physical expression of this feeling. Different than sex. Making love you just need to look into their eyes and see they feel the same thing you do, and all of a sudden feeling become much more intense:)

sex is good.. but making love is where its at... you know it when you've had it....

it spoils you... the intensity and the vibrant sensation.

fucking is all good though, too...

I think that all forms of the inney-outey are physical manifestations corresponding to different levels of emotional intensity.

as such making love is the level of sex that represents the highest level of emotional intensity, the physical experience of the love felt between people, embodying through physical connection what people might never be able to fully encapsulate in words.
