Did Anyone See Any Good Movies This Weekend?

Me and the wife stayed in last night and watched Heist and O
Heist was okay I guess ... it got a little bit predictable at the end
But it kept my intrest ... I was expecting a bit stronger acting from Gene Hackman and Danny DeVito
O was so so as well ... it was a bit of a disappointment cause I was hoping that it was going to be set in modern times but keep the Shakespearian language ... which it didn't
There was good chemistry between the actors
The special features on the DVD sucked ass ... especially the director's commentary on the deleted scenes
And it's a 2 DVD set but I don't know why ... the second DVD is the movie Othello which was made in 1922

i watched Heist on Friday, and I didn't like it at all. Very predictable and it just kept going on and on with the twists, how many contingency plans can one have?

Gangster No. 1 was one of the better movies i've seen in a while.

Hey Stu - here's a tip

Don't ever, EVER refer to your wife or girlfriend as THE wife.

If i were your wife/gf I would beat you down like a mutha fucka.

Women are not objects.

I don't think one should say my girl either. My implies ownership (duh, it's a possesive)... do you own your girlfriend? For that matter, is she just a girl?

I just refer to mine as the bitch, or the ho. Or when I'm in a good mood, my bitchy woman ho slut.

I finally saw Lord of the Rings last night. Visually it was really cool at points and overall I did enjoy it.

I do however have a strange story attached to it. The theatre was packed and when I got there, only a few seats were available so I ended up sitting close to the back row. With about 1 hour left in the movie, a woman walks into the theatre, sits down next to me, gets up after maybe 10 minutes and leaves. Does anyone else find this odd?

E.T. baby.

God it was fantastic! Reminded me of seeing it at a drive in when I was 4 years old.

Such a beautiful movie...and laughing at Drew BArrymore is cool, plus wicked one liners like "Shut up Penis-face!"

mmmm 80's.
Anyone got a BMX bike I can borrow?

Saw Sexy Beast last night. Best movie I've seen in 2002. Ben Kingsley plays the role of the psychopath SO well, and the rest of the cast were amazing too.

Also saw Zoolander last night. Funniest part = gasoline fight.

I saw 'Don't say a Word' and 'Swingers' on VHS, 'The Count of Monte Cristo' (for the 2nd time, such a wicked movie!) thanks to Morpheus And had a Queer as Folk First season Marathon on DVD.

Still have to watch Heat and Groove again (rented it again for laughs. Must love the rave stereotypes of this movie ;) )

not this weekend, but last i rented Groove (also funny), Human Traffic (like Groove, also funny, but moreso), and What's Up, Tiger Lily?

i'm sure most of you have seen the first two, but for real shits and giggles, get What's Up, Tiger Lily? AFAIK, it was woody allen's first film, and it's great! so screwed up, so funny.

"Just get the recipe, ass!"

I saw Ice Age today, surprisingly humourous if you're in a zombie like mood and up for childrens humour... and today I was! It's honestly that really stupid saber tooth squirel that makes the movie. overall, I'd give it a 8 out of 10 for that knid of movie... keep this last comment in context, it is rated F afterall. The plot and some of the animation suck (the way the humans walk!, very pathetic) but it does have it humour and moral stories just like any big screen cartoon these days... not that I watch a lot of them.

It's prolly cos you smell funny.

Actually, I bet it was because she went to the washroom, and when she got back, she sat in the wrong seat, and it took her about 10 minutes to realize she was sitting next to the wrong person.
