the club didn't want to broadcast Cox's set on the radio because they wanted people to come down instead. As well, after speaking to Cox's manager, he wanted it that way too. He was actually pleased the set was not on the radio, for the same reason. If you missed it, it was fun.

And yes, they did do it for Hawtin as well.

That's a pretty dumb reason. It would be like not broadcasting Leafs games for fear of no one coming to the game.

I think it is stupid also...

I know certain sports leaguse have tried the blackout idea and it never really works.besides I don't think anyone that really wanted to see Carl Cox would not go to the club because they can listen to it on the radio.....

I don't think it would have had much impact on the size of the crowd either way
