We would like to apologize for the last minute venue change and more so the no show of Dino Psaras. We still have been unable to reach him to find his explanation, nor has he gotten in touch with us at all. Thanks to all those who partied with us regardless. We promise to make it up to you by the summer!!!! We hope those who came did have a good time regardless. Thanks

Why use reverb? Opera House was done up better than i've ever seen it.. I personally find it feels like a more underground version of Darkrave when DSF is at Reverb.. but whatever.

Congrats though on a successfull party nonetheless. Dino who? Dam, Phink, and others provided enough full on to make bla look blah. Its great to see a truly underground party hit it off. Keep up the nonflyering.

Yeah I wasn't impressed with security there which was a must from the club owners, which we had to pay for as well, but every venue has their rules. I know security were pretty mean...sorry about that. Thanks for trying to get people out there for us. You feel like an ass...well we feel 1000 times worse and are waiting for somekind of justified reason from Dino, but still have not gotten one. We have contacted Atomic (the label) as well and they haven't heard from Dino either... We are embaressed as hell. We are planning something to make it up. Subscribe to our email list and we will update you... sorry and thank you.

Many people feel that Opera House is too far from central location, at the same time it does cost a little more and to fill it we need to get bigger. That's one of the main reasons we put the sheets as decor...as well it looked cool with the lasers too.

We are happy you had a good time regardless... It's good to see people in a party..non caring mood... that's what we want.

One point I would like to make is that we are not in "competition" with BLA. They throw very cool parties and of course the music is Psy as well, but I believe that the scene is still small and growing between BLA and DSF we have a good thing going!! In fact I thought their decor with the space that had on Friday rocked, and I loved the music there as well!! If we support all Psy events in Toronto..we will have the reputation in Toronto as the place to be.. and from there we can see bigger Djs etc...that's what it's all about!! We have to be communal!

Thanks man!
especially for your support!

Agreed. I wasn't implying that the dsf party was in competition with the bla party. I just find the usual decor at bla parties kind of done. Sure the trippy art and string is cool when on neurostims but its the same everytime. blah. I thought it was refreshing that DSF went ahead with a more oldschool rave feel with crazy lighting, lasers and cololourfull gigantic fish. I hope you end up using opera house again.. reverb twice every month is killer.

Well I'm glad you liked Opera House... I liked it too, other then security. Thanks for your feedback! If we get bigger and have bigger names or acts then that's a perfect place. I think the last minute change in venue was kind of a blessing in disguise. Next one is at Reverb...hopefully we can decorate it well enough to look like something else. Thanks, hope to see ya at the next one. April 13th.

i have no complaints about the brief encouter with security i had.. they were polite.. one guy was joking around a bit and asked me to hold his cigarette.. i said i don't smoke so he put it on a ledge and it fell into the trash and everyone sorta chuckled at him.. but they guys inside have been known to be a bit shady, i know that much..

i must say that is an admirable philosophy on the topic... now i'm just hoping that as the small psy scene grows a little we start to see other forms of psychedelia represented... BLA certainly has the tech-trance angle covered, and it seems like you guys are into the same thing... but what about the melodic styles, or the old school, or the breaky kind? i'm just hoping for the day where i can go to a goa party and here a wide variety of great music.. heavy night-time music ranging from the scandosounds to the massive tim schuldt style steamrollers, and melodic morning music for the early hours.. and maybe some psychedelic breakbeats to get things started up! if there's one thing i've had a problem with when it comes to toronto psy parties is that its just minimal tech all night long.. it's not my bag but people like it, so that's all good.. but normally i find myself wanting a change after a couple hours. just some thoughts.

good luck on your next one..
