Deep Dish Go Fish

Well I have to say, what a night! I haven't been that wasted in a long time.

Matlok: I haven't heard Matt play in a while, and I guess it was the mood but he was laying down some crazy tunes. Much harder and much better than usual. Other than some choppy mixes, I was quite impressed by Matlok's set.

1/2Deep Dish: I really do not think that the main room sound/atmosphere/vibe did annything to help his set. Being that this was my first time seeing deep dish, I don't think I should judge them on last night's set, expecially because the other half was missing.

Myka: I really wish he was not playing on the same night as Deep Dish, because I missed most of his set. From what I did hear though, Myka did not disapoint. Reminded me on Saturday nights way back at System, awsome hard disco dirty house. I hope Myka comes back real soon!

Had a blast, finally met Dan and Sarah (although I was wasted and do not remember much.) Saw a lot of Vidman and Tribe Boarders representing too. wicked night

Got in right before 11, had fun, was part of the rabble that staff had to push out the front door at the end of the night.

Had fun, but was very much in my own little world for much of the night dancing and consuming that I remember only seeing/meeting a very small handful of you.

I apologize to all that I chatted with for being *very* introverted saturday night -- that was probably why I *completely* missed seeing more than a few people I'd hoped to spend some time with and catch up on things

I really enjoyed Sharam's set -- not as good as last week, but I'm not complaining

Does anyone know what track he played as his first 'encore' track? It started off with a really eerie/trippy melody.....anyone know?

Well that was an interesting night for sure - this large group of wide-eyed, bushy-tailed jaded toronto kandy kidz decided to present themselves to the city of waterloo. It was good to finally meet more Tribers than the small handfull that I have before. I'm not going to name names for fear of forgetting a name or two.

Overall it was a good night, you guys are lucky that Isaac S was spinning before Deep (or Dish, whichever one it was). Otherwise you would've been treated to some nice hiphop sessions once in a while. being a housey kind of guy I enjoyed the music throughout the night, a little dry and not so punding at times - but it makes for some easy dancing. Every time I ventured into the Purple Room it was wikked, although i only stayed for a bit each time as my core temp. would rise to uncomfortable levels. And that stale smoke/pot/sweat stench wasn't pleasant either.

Unfortunately i had to leave early due to an 'incident' with a friend, which sucked 'cuz I wanted to stay untill late that night. Oh well, there's always next week.

It was great to see so many familiar faces so far from home! Although the music was rather tame it was good for a relaxing evening out. Deep Dish (whichever one actually was there) was entertaining but nothing compared to when I saw them at Industry a few years back.

At one point we make our way to the Purple Room to use the facilities and stop for some harder beats from the never disapointing Myka when my friend turns to me and says "the couple behind us must be from out of town!" I ask why? He tells me they party like T.O. type partiers! Well to my amazement I turn around and who is it.... Smiley Jo being her usual jovial self!

When 2am arrived it was time to load all the drunken friends into the car and trek back to the metropolis of Georgetown... I can't wait till the next party when I don't have to be the DD and can let loose!

I would have remembered you, but I didn't end up going. Sowwie.

I was debating between this event and Ferry Corsten at the Guv. Glad I chose Ferry. Exactly the kind of trance I love to hear. Plenty of older anthems mixed with some great new tracks that I hadn't heard before. I have a feeling Deep Dish would have bored me.

I figured there would be lots of TBK there. Some that would have been fun to see. But my thoughts were that I'll prolly see most of you just about every weekend anyways, where as Corsten only maybe comes once a year or so.

So in short ... sounds like most of you had a good time, but I am confident I had a much better time at the Guvernment.

HA! That's me in the background - The tall skinny guy with the big nose! LOL!!

I had a blast at this party. Even though the music was slow, I danced like a mad man for quite awhile. I liked hearing Plank 15's remix of Strings of Life - pure club cheese spread real thick, just the way I like it.
It was first time visiting Revolution, and I must say I was quite impressed.
The only shitty part of the night was when a fight almost broke out (not involving me) right outside the dj booth as soon as Sharam stepped up to the decks. That would of been a terrible sight for Sharam to see, especially during his first record. Meh.

I didn't get to meet any of you guys, but that's because I don't know what any of you look like. Maybe next time.
Cheers!

What a night!!!

I think everyone has said the important stuff, so I'll keep it brief. The Purple Room sounded sweet but I couldn't cope with how packed it was. Liked Issac S's set, I went up and chatted with him for a bit and he was very friendly and nice. Sharam took a while to build up his set - I think I liked last weekend's set better as Ali got it pounding 1st thing.... but hey, Sharam's whole mellow/funky/playful set was a nice listen... and great dancing for the last 2 hours. Loved hearing "music sounds better w/ you"... and then he teased us with the vocal of "voices" over it ... very, very sweet!

But the BEST part, TBKers owned the Rev!!! Couldn't go anywhere without seeing a smiling face, esp. around the middle of the dancefloor. Nice seeing everyone I knew, and it was a true pleasure in meeting some of you for the 1st time.

YES!
i was so mad when he mixed it into that one song, for like 2 seconds..unless it was just a sample or something...but then never dropped it..but yay...he shoulda played it for his encore.
