De La Soul @ Chocolate

De La Soul rocked it... wish it was a little bit longer.

But they still rocked it.
Got in about 10:00pm ... immediately I thought it was a small space, but perfect for a little concert.

Jr Flo was warming up the place, then an opening act which I didn't know of went on... the Oddities and they were OK, but I wasn't expecting them so I wasn't really into it...

About 11:30 De La took stage and rocked it, totally playing all the tunes I wanted I was expecting probably some newer tracks, but they rocked out the old skool... lots of 3ft high and rising.
And stuff from A.I. and Stakes in High...

From what I can remember...

Plug Tunin, Buddy, Me, Myself & I, Potholes, Oooh!, U Can Do it!, Itzoweezee, Stakes is High ... and about 2 others I didn't remember and ended it with Ego Trippin tease but didn't end up doing it ....

Great show for $15!

brand new club on richmond near madbar
i'm not even sure if it's opened yet, as some parts of it appeared to be under renovation still.

but theres that other club, right by Madbar, called Inside i believe which is supposedly owned by Vince as well.
it has been open for a while as i remember going there a year ago.
so is this the same club with a new name and a bunch of renovations?

well.. i think it's a part of Inside, we went upstairs to chocolate.. but there's a main floor too.

Yah, Inside is the main level and basement, Chocolate is the 2nd floor- more intimate...
There is a good house music party there tonight on the basement level with Chicago's DJ DIZ

Of course you didn't - it was a duMaurier show. Their standard promotion of a show is about 3 days prior and to people who know nothing about the act being promoted. An exercise in futility as usual...

Been there since 11 am yesterday

I loved the show! I was in my nice open work area at the lighting desk wishing for a beer.

Whatever.. stop hating on DuMaurier, I've seen flyers and ads on the street for the last month or so.

The only reason you never heard about it is because they arnt going to flyer the usual system soundbar crowd. Its not their demographic.
