Not always. This is only my third time mentioning Deep Dish. No hidden agenda. Just wanted to know if he dropped any Deep Dish remixes. Deep Dish are the h:foundation of prog. so I just wanted to know if Mr. Seamen dropped any Deep Dish.

Not curious about prog. ==============> Suke.

Malia, please remember this night every single time you think you might back out of going somewhere...This night was just what we needed.

Loved Luke's set...set things up for me perfectly for the next several hours of dancing.

Great to see everyone out and to meet some new people. Dora - don't worry, next time we'll watch Spice World, and I'll even let you wear the top hat
Thanks for being such a good morning hostess!

It's been a long time since I walked out of a club into blinding sunlight, my legs trembling from hours of dancing in big heeled boots (you'd think I'd have learned my lesson and worn sketchers, but no, for some reason they don't seem to go as well with skirts as come-hither boots)blinking awkwardly at flyer kids as my exhausted body and brain try and comprehend the amazing experience I just had.

All I have to say is last night was one of the best nights I have ever had at a club. Arrived around 12 AM and despite the bitching ass cold weather (hail in october?) and moved rather smoothly through the line into the familar beats of good pounding music. Luke Fair OWNED. Mother of God, by FAR the best set I have ever heard him drop. Much harder then his usual stuff but he was on the ball, flawless mixing and good track selection , had me dancing like an Energizer Bunny. (I believe some people may have claimed to spot me on the podium but this was all lies)

Then the man himself, DAVE SEAMEN! I'd never seen him spin before and was by NO means dissapointed, by the end I couldn't dance anymore, my knees wouldn't take it. Yes he did drop a lot of the bigger tracks that we've all heard a million times, but with the mood of the crowd and the type of club Guvernment is, I wasn't too surprised. He was supposed to end @ 6:30 AM but kept the party going an extra hour, the crowd went so wild that it demanded three encores. So nice to hear good soulful progressive again which Seamen definetly played. Seamen basically got escorted of the stage by grumpy bouncers who wanted to go home and shut the place down

The crowd- AWESOME! Yes Guvernment is known as the land of e-tarded clubs kids but the people I met last night were genuinely wonderful individuals, Great vibe, lots of smiles, everyone watching out for each other. Holy beautiful people batman! I felt like I'd stepped into a runaway show At times. As usual the TBK representing, lots of familiar faces, nice to meet some new people.

The lighting rocked, nuff said. Major props to the Breathe crew, this night has changed my opinion of guvernment forever.

Thanks to the predrinking crew, the post-party crew (Dora sweetie, thank you so much for the hospitality!)and especially to my boys Jay, Alchemy, Che, Jake the Snake, Lurch, Mr. Furious (aka Man Whore), Vinder and Fred! To the girls, Dora, Heather and Malia you now hot to tear the shit off the roof. This night could potentially have been terrible but thanks to being reminded off the value of honesty and of true friends I had a blast.

We danced till the last record dropped

And damn was it fun.

Great night.

Very nice warmup set from Mark Oliver to get things started.

Luke took to the decks and bam! His sound is perfect for that Guvernment system. Hard and punchy. Phenominal stuff Luke! I think he only played one of his remixes, his new remix of Satoshi's Virus, right at the end. Sounded great.

Dave Seaman really delivered to me. I agree that he was very "big" tuned, but I didn't really mind. Highlight of the night was the Futureshock remix of Moody, love that track. Hopefully he'll be back soon.

Great to see everybody out! The Guvernment (and Kool Haus on Sat) looked amazing. Big props to the visual designers and the overall decorators.

Wow, what a fun weekend.

Didn't stay for the whole thing due to those sleep inducing turkey chemicals, which were helped along by the opening sets. Although there were some great moments in Luke Flair's. But that's just me getting bored with a paticular sound.

I liked what i heard from Seaman. Yet, it is easy to be disappointed if you are a big fan of his excellent compilations and then hear him live. But I was pleasantly surprised, and respect his diversity and ability to drive the dancefloor with big tunes as well as the lesser knowns. He played exactly what everyone wanted to hear, and quite well. It was worth the long wait to see him, despite an early demise.

Nice decorations and visuals as well.

This party was fantastic. I can't remember having a better time at the guv. Seaman didn't disappoint. It was a treat having him spin until 7:30am. Crowd was great, no body wanted to leave. I really enjoyed the deep/hard beats he was throwing down, he had me dancing until the place shut down.

A great weekend all around, Sanchez, Seaman... next week N.Warren... The scene here in Toronto is definitely getting much, much better. So many choices, so little time!

Haven't had the capacity to give the night justice until now.

Dave Motherfucking Seaman on Guvernment's sound system. For that fact alone, could it get any better? Evidently yes.

Picked up my boys Choko and Rents and then hooked up with Postmod and Sugar. Hearing Minimalistix' "Struggle For Pleasure" while freezing outside early in the night was a good omen of the quality of music to follow.

Inside, it seemed Luke Fair wasn't happy to rest on his Bedrock laurels and was rocking out proper. Add to that the totally unexpected but welcome surprise of so many faces from Tribe out and right off the bat the night seemed like it was going to be one to remember. I don't think there have been that many of us in one place since the house party. Surprise, surprise that we would all congregate around the bar.

Seaman's set bridged nicely with Fair's brand of progressive house, playing chunky and funky, enough to make even downtempo afficionado Choko want to hump a speaker. Hearing bass heavy progressive thundering over the Phazon made me hope that Breathe continues to bring the world class talent it always has more often to Guvernment. I can't speak for anyone else, but I've never had a bad experience there, and the sound system + scenery makes it more than worth tolerating the minor annoyances that are part and parcel of going to any club.

With Seaman's gift for macroscopic programming, the shift into trancier elements towards the end of the night was seamless. If you can't picture a track like Tiesto's "Flight 643" being dropped anywhere near Luke Fair's typical turntable fodder, that should give you an idea of the fluidity that Seaman has. That or the fact that it never even looks like the man even has to try behind the decks.

Usually I have two modes when it comes to listening to music at clubs - either I sit back and try to take in all the details or I let loose, lose myself in the beats and dance myself into the ground. Try as I might, Seaman wouldn't let me sit back and fully appreciate his skills. Instead the bald little fuck made me lose the night in a sweaty blur with a big silly fat grin on my face. Kind of like the one he had when I yelled out "Seaman Owns Toronto". Which he earned as far as I'm concerned. Are you expecting me to be objective? He's my favourite DJ (can you tell?). Three encores didn't seem enough even after his trademark vocal laden close.

Thanks to Dora for her kind words, hospitality and crappy movies, my boy Chuck for the great post party conversation, my boy Chris for being a good sport (probably planting a bomb under my car as we speak), Breathe for their consistency in excellence, Kodak for the acquisition of evidence (pictures soon to follow), patience for everyone who had to listen to me yabber on at Dora's, and the piles and piles of friendly faces who made this night as good as it was.

It's not rot. It's evolution
Progressive is just a 45 rpm techno record being played at 33

I would if I could remember. Like I said, at that point I was just lost in it all
Teneglia's remix of Depeche Mode's 'I Feel Loved' and Planet Funk's 'Chase The Sun' come to mind around that time.

Also wanted to add thank you to everyone who made 'the couple' (Gareth and Jennie) , my friends from the UK feel so welcome. They asked me to thank you all, they really enjoyed your company and quote of the night was 'Dear God, you Canadians know how to party!' From Gareth at 7:30 AM after Seamen through down that last track
