So its a little laptop drive that died.
the dreaded " whirr-click " of death, is happening.
when plugged in via USB HD toaster to get access the drive wont get past the click, and doesnt register in the computers device manager.
options i have looked at are replacing the circuit board to see if that fixes the disc boot up issue.
if that doesnt fix it, and its the internal arm thats no good. then im pretty much screwed right?
